Bianchi Chased Out

Livello 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Chase Bianci has just been ousted from this event by Alexandre Luneau after being crippled in an earlier hand by Alexander Wilson.

Earlier, we caught the action on a board that read {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} where Bianci moved all-in; Wilson went deep into the tank and after about three minutes, he made the call, showing down {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} which was good against Bianci, who had gotten his hand caught in the cookie jar with {5-}{3-}

Down to just 80,000, he moved that in a few hands later with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and found himself in a flip for his tournament life against Luneau's {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}, but the dealer spread the board of {Q-}{5-}{4-}{7-}{9-} to send Bianchi to the rail.

Three More Bustouts

Livello 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We talked to Greg Mueller who busted right before the dinner break who said he had {9-}{9-} versus the {A-}{K-} of Bradley Craig. Mueller told us there was an {A-} in the window on the flop and a {K-} on the river just for safe measure.

Jason Deutsch also busted out at the hands of Bradley Craig. Deustch went all in preflop on the button with {A-Spades}{7-Spades} and Craig called in the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} The board ran out safely for Craig {10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Deutsch hit the rail.

We also lost Thomas Applegate who busted at the hands of Geffrey Klein. On the flop, Klein bet 40,000 and was re-raised all in for 90,000 by Applegate. Klein made the call with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} on the {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board and Applegate showed {7-Spades}{6-Spades} The turn and river came {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to give Klein a better two pair and take down the pot.

Kind of a Gross Way to Go...

Livello 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Corey Quinonez raised to 15,000 from the hijack and Steven Gross re-raised enough to put Quinonez all in. Quinonez called and the cards were revealed.

Quinonez: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Gross: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

There was an audible gasp from the table and the rail when the flop came {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} giving Gross a set of eights to put him in the lead. The turn and river were the {6-Hearts} and {4-Diamonds} which were of no help to Quinonez and he was eliminated.

After the hand Gross' stack increased to 345,000.

Mullen Doubles Through Colin

Joshua Mullen raised to 9,500 from the cutoff and got a call from Chase Bianchi on the button. Bryan Colin re-raised to 34,000 from the small blind with Bianchi folding and Mullen calling.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Colin bet 27,000 and Mullen re-raised to 62,500. Colin asked how much Mullen had and then re-raised him all in with a snap call from Mullen.

Mullen showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for an over pair and Colin was simply speculating with his {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The turn and river came {4-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Mullen earned the big double up.

Mullen was left with 375,000 and Colin got knocked down to 310,000

Yuen KOs Makhija

Livello 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Steven Gross raised to 10,000 in the cutoff and Amit Makhija re-raised all in for a total of 17,000. Sida Yuen, who was in the big blind, re-raised to 29,500 and Gross folded leaving Makhija and Yuen heads up.

Makhija: {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Yuen: {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board of {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} was of no help to Makhija and he was eliminated. After the hand Yuen had around 260,000.

Dyer Doubles

Gregory Dyer just made a huge double up against overnight chip leader Anthony Spinella.

Dyer on the button raised it preflop to 10,000, the small blind called and Spinella in the big blind made it 36,500 to go. Dyer re-raised to 86,500 and the small blind got out of the way. Spinella re-raised all in and he got a snap call from Dyer.

Dyer flipped over {A-}{Q-} to have Spinella's {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} dominated. The board ran out harmless for Dyer and he doubled up and crippled Spinella.

Spinella was left with 200,000 (less than he started Day 2 with) and Dyer shot up to 557,000.
