Shorr Thing

Livello 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

John Monnette limped in from early position, and Alessio Isaia followed suit from the cutoff seat before Shannon Shorr raised on the button. Humberto Brenes called from the blinds, and so too did Monnette and Isaia. The flop fell {7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, and the action checked to Shorr, who fired a continuation bet. His three opponents called.

All four players checked the {a-Hearts} on the turn, and after the {9-Clubs} was dealt on the river, the action checked to Shorr again. He bet, but only found one caller: Isaia. Shorr tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Spades} for an ace-high flush, no low, and Isaia mucked his hand.

One Big Happy Family

Livello 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Team PokerStars Pro has a nice little family game going over there. At Table 125 sits Barry Greenstein (USA), Vanessa Selbst (USA), and the aforementioned Eugene Katchalov (Ukraine). They've been joined by the former WSOP Tournament Director, Matt Savage. John D'Agostino is at that tough table as well.

Get Yer Bracelets

Allen Bari has just taken his seat at the table with Vladimir Shchemelev and Jerry Buss. Bari took the bracelet in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event yesterday, and Shchemelev came close to a bracelet with a runner-up finish in the $50,000 Players' Championship last year. The man who bested him, Michael Mizrachi, is also in the field.

Jerry Buss hasn't won a bracelet yet -- his best finish was a 3rd place -- but this could be the one!

Potent Notables

Livello 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

As you'd have guessed, the field is packed with the guys you see on TV. There are 105 players registered so far, and we've got a fresh, 2011 bracelet winner among them. Eugene Katchalov took down the $1,500 Seven-Card Stud event last night, and he's here looking for number two this evening.

It's easier to tell you about interesting table draws than list a bunch of names -- you can find those in the Chip Counts tab. One of the near tables has Ted Forrest, Scott Clements, and Justin Bonomo sharing space. In the early contender for Table of Doom, we have Chad Brown, Humberto Brenes, Shannon Shorr, John Monnette, and Alessio Isaia.

It's early, though, and there are plenty of empty seats waiting to be filled.

Chop it Up

The blinds are 100/200, the limits are 200/400, and Event #11 is off and running. We're tucked away in the cozy Yellow section of the Pavilion room if you're wondering.
