Greenstein Signs His Book

On a board reading {8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, a series of raises and reraises results in Team PokerStars Pro (USA) Barry Greenstein being all in. His opponent on the button showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the nuts and Greenstein rapped the table before showing {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

The meaningless {4-Spades} was put out on the river as Greenstein grabbed a copy of his book, signed it for his foe, and made his exit from the tournament area.

Sore Start for Sorel

Sorel Mizzi raised from middle position and Alexander Keating made it three bets to go as the next to act. Both the big blind and Mizzi made the call as the players saw a {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop that was checked to Keating. He threw out a bet which got the big blind to fold, but Mizzi came in with a check-raise. Keating made it three bets and Mizzi made it four, which the former called. Mizzi led out on the {J-Diamonds} turn and got raised by Keating. He just called, followed by a check on the {8-Hearts} river. Keating made one last bet and Mizzi made the call. Keating showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} for top boat and Mizzi mucked his hand.

Ain't Wasting No More Time

Starting things off with a bang Jose Nacho Barbero came out 4 betting preflop. He was however able to convince Casey McCarrel to join him to see three cards. Before the cards could even come out Barbero was betting blind. The flop came {3-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. McCarrel made the call.

Again before the turn was even shown Barbero bet in the dark. When the {8-Hearts} spiked on the turn it was McCarrel who decided to raise, putting Barbero all-in. Barbero instantly called and showed the table his {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}. McCarrel showed {4-} {4-} for the favorite hand. The river {5-Hearts} was no help to Barbero, who was sent home packing early here on day two.

The Bear Off to a Roaring Start

Hiren Patel raised from middle position and Barry Greenstein made it three bets as the next to act. Patel made the call and check-called Greenstein’s bet on the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. Patel checked again and Greenstein bet when the {6-Clubs} hit the turn. Instead of just calling this time however, Patel threw in a check-raise. Greenstein made it three bets though and Patel just called. On the {2-Diamonds} river, Patel checked once more and Greenstein went all in. Patel made the call and Greenstein showed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for top set. Patel mucked and Greenstein has doubled up early.
