Blasko Finds Much Needed Double

Livello 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

We caught up with the action just as Marek Blasko went all-in for his last 18,700. Blasko was called and saw that he was in good shape going to the flop.

Blasko: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Blasko's kings held, doubling him up to just under 40,000.

Quick Double Up for Vinas

Livello 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Davidi Kitai raised to 2,700 from middle position pre flop. Tommy Vinas called from the small blind. The flop ran out {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Both players checked to the turn.

The turn brought the {8-Spades}. Vinas went all in for 5,400 and Kitai called.

Kitai flipped up {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Vinas showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for two pair. The {j-Hearts} came on the river.

Vinas sits with around 18,000 in front of him.

Time to Pot, Pot, Pot in Day 2 of Event #15: $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em

Chip leader Ronald Lee
Chip leader Ronald Lee

Welcome back to the 2011 World Series of Poker and the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for Day 2 of the Event #15: $1,500 Pot-Limit Holdem .

765 took to the felt yesterday to battle it out, and after the dust settled on ten levels of play, only 88 players remain all within range of snagging one of the top 72 money earning places and a guaranteed $2,912.

However it will be the coveted gold bracelet, title of champion and $227,232 first prize that everyone will be reaching for, and it is Ronald Lee who is best placed at the start of today. Amassing 122,700 in chips, he has his nearest opponent covered by nearly 30,000, and if he can replicate his form from the WSOP Europe Main Event where he finished in third, Lee definitely has a chance of adding a gold bracelet to his trophy case.

Plenty of notables still are alive with James Dempsey, Joe Sebok, Ali Eslami, John Racener, John Dolan, and Alessio Isaia all still possessing some Event #15 chips.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will again be on the tournament floor providing continuous live updates, so make sure to stay with us from 2:30 pm PDT as we aim at reaching the final table of Event #15: $1,500 Pot-Limit Holdem!
