Tom Dwan raised to 5,300 from the button and Bryn Kenney re-popped it to 13,200. Dwan called to see a flop. The flop came and Kenney led out for 13,800. Dwan made the call. When the hit the turn, Kenney opted to check, prompting a 21,700 bet from Dwan. Kenney decided to peel one more and made the call. Kenney then moved all in for approximately 50,000 when the came on the river and Dwan quickly called with his remaining stack. Kenney showed for the rivered straight and Dwan mucked his hand. Dwan traded one of his two remaining add-on chips for 50,000.
With the blinds at 1,000/2,000, John Juanda called from the button and the flop came down . Juanda led out with a bet of 2,000 and Tran raised it to 7,000, which Juanda hesitantly called. The players checked down a turn and river of and and when Tran showed his , Juanda through his hand away.
On the very next deal, Tran raised to 4,500 from the button and Juanda called, bringing a flop of . Juanda fired a bet of approximately 6,000 chips and Tran mucked. Both players are currently even in chips and both are keeping their two 50k chip add-ons in reserve, which means this battle could become a war of attrition.
Erick Lindgren moved all in for his last 30,000 and Robl made the call from the big blind. Lindgren's was out-kicked by Robl's and needed help to improve.
The board ran out and Robl's nine kicker played, sending Lindgren to the rail.
Still retaining his two 50k add-ons, Nikolay Evdakov made short work of Martin Kabrhel and advanced to the 3rd round. With the board showing , Kabrhel and Evdakov found themselves with all the chips in the middle. Evdakov tabled the for flopped trips and his opponent quickly mucked, sending the Russian on to the next round.
With the board reading , Maxim Lykov pushed a bet of 8,200 chips into the middle. Antonio Esfandiari counted out the appropriate stack of chips to make a call and carefully studied Lykov for any hint of a read. The Russian remained cool and revealed nothing until Esfandiari suddenly asked "you bluffing me?" A slight break in Lykov's facade was all the Magician needed to make the escape and currently both players are about even in chips.
