Back and Forth We Go

Livello 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Continuing their back and forth battle, Arkadiy Tsinis and Michael Blanovsky exchanged pots on five consecutive hands heading into the break.

In the first hand, Blanovsky opened to 160,000 from the button and Tsinis made the call. When the flop fell {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Tsinis checked and then folded to Blanovsky's 200,000 bet.

Next, Tsinis raised to 125,000 holding the button and Blanovsky came along for the ride. The dealer spread a flop of {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{A-Spades} across the felt and Blanovsky tapped the table. Tsinis responded with a bet of 160,000 and Blanovsky mucked.

On the following deal, Blanovsky opened for 165,000 and took the pot down without a contest.

Tsinis evened the score with his own button raise on the next hand, and his 120,000 was enough to force Blanovsky to release his cards.

In the last hand before the break, Blanovsky limped in and Tsinis called, bringing a flop of {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Spades} to the table. Blanovsky fired a bet of 75,000 into the pot and Tsinis came along. The turn card came {5-Diamonds} and both players opted to check. On the river, the {K-Spades} arrived and Blanovsky checked to Tsinis, who bet 225,000 and earned the win.

The play has been tentative so far in this heads-up duel, but Tsinis has taken the majority of the small pots to slowly increase his chip lead.

Tug O' War

Michael Blanovsky can't seem to fight a foothold in this heads-up battle and is back down to 2.5 million in chips while Arkadiy Tsinis is back over seven million as the action continues.

Earlier, Tsinis raised to 120,000 from the button and Blanovsky called before both players checked to the turn on a board that read {J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Blanovsky then fired out 175,000 on the river of the {9-Hearts} and Tsnis folded.

A short time later, Blanovsky raised to 120,000 and Tsinis called before check-calling Blanovsky's bet of 165,000 on the flop of {5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}. Both players then checked down the turn of the {4-Hearts} and the river {5-Spades} and although Blanovsky tabled {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Tsinis had made two pair with his {7-}{4-Diamonds} to win the pot.

A few more stolen blinds and antes passed before Tsinis limped in from the button and Blanovsky checked before check-calling Tsinis' bet of 60,000 after the flop of {4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Both players then checked the turn of the {2-Clubs}, but then after Blanovsky bet 200,000 on the river of the {K-Spades}.

Another Two to Blanovsky

Livello 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Michael Blanovsky has just picked up another two pots from Arkadiy Tsinis as we begin to burn the midnight oil here in the Amazon Room.

Earlier, Blanovsky limped in from the button before the flop and Tsinis checked from the big blind before both players checked down the flop of {10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and the turn of the {10-Hearts} before Tsinis led out for 100,000 on the river of the {A-Clubs}. Blanovsky raised to 352,000 and Tsinis mucked his hand.

In the very next hand, Tsnis limped in from the button and Blanovsky checked, only to then check-fold to Tsinis' bet of 60,000 after the flop of {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Soon after that, Blanovsky raised from the button to 120,000 and Tsinis called, but he then check-folded to Blanovsky's bet of 150,000 after the flop of {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

Tsinis Strikes Again

Arkadiy Tsinis has just taken a big chunk of change from Michael Blanovsky to move up to almost 7.5 million as this heads-up battle continues.

After two walks, Tsinis raised to 120,000 from the button and Blanovsky called before checking the flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}. Tsinis opened for 75,000 and he then called Blanovsky's check-raise of 275,000 before calling Blanovsky's bet of 500,000 straight on the turn of the {5-Clubs}.

Both players then checked down the river {Q-Clubs} and Blanovsky tabled {6-Spades}{3-Spades} for a busted straight flush draw, which was no good against Tsinis' {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Blanovsky Pulls Back

Arkadiy Tsinis may have won the early part of this heads-up battle, but Michael Blanovsky isn't going anywhere, having been able to reclaim some of his chips as play in WSOP Event #38 continues.

Blanovsky picked up three sets of blinds and antes before Tsinis raised from the button to 125,000. Blanovsky called, then both players checked the flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{A-Spades} before Blanovsky check-folded to Tsinis' bet of 125,000 on the turn of the {3-Diamonds}.

Two hands later, Tsinis raised to 120,000 and Blanovsky called before the dealer spread the flop of {2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Blanovsky checked and Tsinis led out for 125,000, only to fold after Blanovsky check-raised to 425,000.
