Michael Blanovsky raised to 100,000 from the cutoff and both Arkadiy Tsinis and Pim de Goede came along for the ride, calling from the small and big blinds respectively.
The flop fell and the action checked around, bringing the to the table on the turn.
Tsinis led out on the turn with a bet of 150,000 and de Goede made the call. Blanovsky then shoved all-in over the top of both bets and forced his opponents to muck their hands. He then flashed the for a pair and a flush draw.
We missed the preflop betting but there were 250,000 chips in the pot and a flop of spread across the felt. Paul Nash bet 160,000 from under-the-gun and Arkadiy Tsinis reraised to 365,000 from the big blind.
The Englishman thought it over for a minute before pushing his remaining 970,000 forward for an all-in move. Tsinis was being laid great pot odds and shrugged before making the call.
Showdown:
Nash:
Tsinis:
Nash had made a power play with pure air, hoping to force Tsinis off of his hand, but he held top pair, top kicker and looked Nash up. He would need to spike a jack or go runner-runner for a straight or flush to take the lead.
Turn:
Nash picked up additional outs with his flush draw, and the Brits on the rail instantly began screaming for spades to fall. Tsinis simply paced around the table while he waited for the dealer to decide his fate.
River:
While he paired his ace, Nash could not overcome the aces up held by Tsinis and he was eliminated in 5th place. He will take $123,028 back to England, and with the current exchange rate, he will arrive on English soil just a bit richer than that.
With Englishman Paul Nash making a run to today's final table, we here at the PokerNews desk have become well acquainted with the soccer-style chants let loose by his countrymen on the rail. We thought we'd give you a sample of the songs that Nash has been serenaded with this evening.
He's a ba-by, Oh he's a bay-by! This chant is a term of endearment meant to not Nash's baby-faced appearance and bald head. His friends told us "well, he just looks like a baby now, doesn't he?"
Did your sister dress you? Did your sisterrrr dressss youuuu? This volley was lobbed at Ryan Laplante, who was clad in an all pink wardrobe during his stay at the final table.
Walk it out, now walk it out! An ode to the rap group Outkast which we heard after Nash received a rare walk in his big blind.
God save the Queen! God save the Queen! This one is self explanatory.
With Paul Nash still alive and only four opponents left until a bracelet winner is crowned, we expect the chanting, singing and cheering to reach a fevered pitch as the night marches onward.
Perry Lin has just been given the ol' 1-2 KO by Randolph Lanosga to depart WSOP Event #35 in fifth place.
Earlier, Lanosga raised to 90,000 from middle position before Lin re-raised to 240,000 from the button. All the others got out of the way, but Lin four-bet it, making it 540,000 to go. Lanosga called, so it was heads-up to the flop of .
Lanosga led out for 300,000 and Lin went into the tank for almost three minutes before announcing he was all-in. Lanosga snap-called, showing down but reeled after Lin showed down for two pair. The on the turn reduced his outs, but incredibly, the spiked on the river to give him the set!
Down to just 475,000, Lin open-shoved in the very next hand with , but Lanosga woke up with . The board ran out and Lin was eliminated.
