Event #48: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em
Giorno 3 completo
Day 3 of Event #48: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em is in the books but we have yet to find a winner. Four players still remain including chip leader Athanasios Polychronopoulos (3,680,000), Yevgeniy Timoshenko (3,460,000), Peter Ippolito (2,835,000), and Simon Charette (2,245,000). As you may be able to tell, it's anyone's game at this point as all of the stacks are fairly close to one another.
At the beginning of the day the chipleader of the 30 remaining players was Sebastian Winkler but that number dropped quickly. During the first two Levels of play today 14 players were eliminated including Mike DeMichelle.
At the end of the Level 24, right before the dinner break, we hit our final ten players to form our unofficial final table. After dinner it took 45 minutes before Corey Burbick was eliminated in 10th place and our official final table was formed.
From there we lost (in order) Sven Heinecker, Matt Stout, Pius Heinz, Alexander Queen, and Sebastian Winkler. The remaining four players battled for the remaining 40 minutes of Level 28 and all of Levels 29 and 30 before calling it a night.
The chiplead changed hands multiple times throughout the last few levels with each of the four remaining players taking control at least once during four-handed play.
We saw everything from bad beats to suck-outs to huge bluffs today but we're going to have to wait until tomorrow to see a winner. Play will resume at 2:30pm PST so make sure to check us here at PokerNews for all the updates!
The remaining four players have ten minutes left in the last level of the day. They will bag and tag their chips and return for a Day 4 to play to a winner.
On the button Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 200,000 and Simon Charette moved all in from the small blind. Timoshenko called and the hands were tabled. Charette held and Timoshenko held .
The board ran and the players chopped the pot.
Athanasios Polychronopoulos opened for 200,000 on the button, Yevgeniy Timoshenko called from the small blind and Simon Charette called from the big blind. The flop came and all three players checked. The turn came and after two checks Polychronopoulos bet 250,000. Timoshenko raised to 650,000 and earned two folds to take the pot.
