Back From Dinner

Livello 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

We're sure after the fireworks that ensued before the dinner break that the players appreciated a little time to recoup. Now that dinner has finished they are all back and cards are in the air. This tournament is scheduled to play through tomorrow, but we've heard conflicting stories as to whether play will cease for the day when we hit the final table or whether we'll be playing out the full ten levels today no matter what. Whenever we find out for sure we will let you know!

Lykov Crushes Leecy

Wow, what a difference a few minutes makes.

Matthew Leecy was over the two million mark and cruising and Max Lykov had most of his stack in with nines against jacks. Two hands later and Leecy is out and the Russian has three million.

Lykov opened the cutoff to 40,000 and Leecy made it 100,000 in the big blind, Lykov then four-bet to 240,000 and Leecy made the call.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Leecy led for 150,000 then called all in when Lykov pushed.

Leecy: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Lykov: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {J-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} were blanks and Leecy went out in 16th place,

Lykov Hits Huge Double

Matthew Leecy raised to 50,000 from early position and Max Lykov made it 136,000 in the small blind, Leecy made the call.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Lykov bet 138,000, Leecy moved all in and Lykov made a quick call with {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} dominating Leecy's {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. The {A-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} didn't change anything and Lykov looks to be our new chip leader as head onto the dinner break.
