Quad aces are good, but could the pot have been bigger?
Quad aces are good, but could the pot have been bigger?

Pot-Limit Omaha

Michael Binger limped from under the gun, Justin "Boosted J" Smith raised to 27,000 on his direct left and Minh Ly re-raised to 96,000 from the hijack seat. Binger called, Smith four-bet all in for 119,500, and both Ly and Binger called.

The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

From here, things get a little murky. Apparently, tablemate Matt Glantz made a comment either about the hand, or Ly after Ly had made a bet. Binger folded, and Ly was furious with Glantz because he believed that Glantz's comment induced action.

We heard Ly yell something about the side pot, and said he would "bet Glantz $100,000 that he had quad aces."

Smith was waiting for Ly to turn up his hand for the better part of two minutes, and he wasn't lying about the quads.

Ly: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Smith: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Seeing that he was drawing dead, Smith began packing his things in preparation of an exit. The turn and river came {8-Hearts}, {q-Hearts} respectively, and Smith was eliminated.

The argument lingered after the hand, and despite rocketing to about 500,000 chips, Ly was still angry about not getting more chips from Binger.
