At the end of Day 1c of Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em, Giovanny Rodriguez Ocampo of Columbia led the field with a stack of 3,010,000. Ocampo's stack puts him behind the Day 1b chip leader — and current tournament chip leader — Dan Heimiller who heads up the chip leaderboard with 3,875,000 in chips.

Another 5,669 players entered on Day 1c, bringing the total entries for the event up to 13,778 entries. Only 203 of these players bagged, bringing the total number of survivors for Day 2 up to 482. These numbers will continue to grow as there is another Day 1 flight still to go.

Among the Day 1c survivors are notables like Game of Gold star Olga Iermolcheva (830,000), $25k fantasy player Arthur Morris (680,000), and all-round poker legends Barry Greenstein (525,000) and Shaun Deeb (365,000).

They join a range of other bracelet winners like Roberto Romanello (2,200,000), Michael Moncek (1,575,000), Tamas Lendvai (895,000), Pete Chen (835,000), Mark Seif (700,000), and Brett Apter (600,000).

Day 1c starts at 10 a.m. local time on June 9. The survivors of all four Day 1 flights will then reconvene at 11 a.m. on June 10 for Day 2, when PokerNews' traditional coverage will return.

2024 WSOP $25K Fantasy Hands of the Week: Negreanu Flips Big and a Miracle Queen for Jaka

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

The $25K Fantasy league is off to a hot start with seven of the 19 teams over 100 points as of June 4. Most of those were thanks to a handful of draftees hitting field bonuses in Event #5: $1,000 Mystery Millions, which attracted 18,409 entrants and became the sixth-largest poker tournament of all time.

PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates, and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with a $25K Fantasy badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the $25K Fantasy badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “$25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by $25K Fantasy players.

As a result, we can capture some of the biggest, best, and most game-changing hands involving the $25K Fantasy roster. Here are five from the first week of action in the 2024 WSOP.
