Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em
Giorno 2 completo
Day 2 of Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) saw the starting field of 757 combatants, reduced to just 14 warriors over the course of 17 levels of play at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Each one of those contenders is guaranteed a minimum of $20,820. The 20,647-player field created a prize pool of $5,079,162, where the eventual winner will be taking home $401,210 and the coveted WSOP bracelet
Topping the counts was Simon Britton of the United States with 67,100,000 chips. Britton has already had two cashes during this series and has surpassed his career-highest score with the current guaranteed prize in this event. He was down to just one big blind with three tables remaining after his pocket jacks were defeated in brutal fashion by Rami Hammoud's ace-nine suited. However, an outstanding comeback sees him sitting in pole position for the start of play tomorrow.

Coming second in chips with 64,975,000 is Stephen Winters. Winters eliminated seven-time bracelet winner Men Nguyen in 19th position after Nguyen went all in on the flop with a gutshot straight draw against Winters' flush draw. A diamond on the turn spelled the end for Nguyen.
The field was scattered with bracelet winners who didn’t manage to make it to the end of the day, such as John Gorsuch, Brian Shaffer, and Tamas Lendvai.
The Gladiators of Poker resumes at 3 p.m. local time on Tuesday, June 11. Blinds will start at 1,250,000/2,500,000 with a big blind ante of 2,500,000 and they will play down to a winner.

A full recap of Day 2 will come soon.
Ediberto Pilotin moved all in from under the gun for less than 5,000,000 and action folded around to Simon Britton, who peeked down at his cards.
“They match,” said Britton, who promptly made the call to put Pilotin at risk.

Simon Britton: 10♣10♦
The dealer fanned 6♥K♥7♥J♣Q♥ on the board, giving Britton the win.
Pilotin finished in 15th place, earning a $20,820 payout.

Benedict Bauer joined the party during a three-way all-in situation, but he was the one at risk.
Allan Macabulos moved all in, and then Simon Britton, who had Macabulos covered, shoved his stack. Bauer was in the blind and put in his remaining chips, and the cards were tabled.
Benedict Bauer: Q♦J♦
Allan Macabulos: Q♥J♥
Simon Britton: 7♦7♣
The dealer fanned 10♥4♣8♥ on the flop and then A♥ on the turn gave Macabulos the flush. The 5♥ on the river didn’t change the outcome, as Macabulos’ flush held to knock out Bauer.
Bauer earned a payout of $20,820.

The 7♣ on the turn produced a check from Vu and Winter, leading to the river. The dealer placed 3♦ on the board, resulting in Vu betting 8,800,000. Winters snap-called and immediately tabled his hand, along with Vu and Lendvai.
Tamas Lendvai: Q♣J♥
Quang Vu: K♠7♦
Stephen Winters: 9♠8♠
Winters took down the hand with a straight and scored the knockout blow on Lendvai, who finished in 18th place for a $16,770 payout.
