Event #45: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship (8-Handed)
Giorno 2 completo
Day 2 of Event #45: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship has come to an end here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with Christopher Chung rising to the top after bagging 1,345,000 in chips. Not far behind him is Patrick Moulder with 1,195,000, and rounding out the top three is mixed-game legend Benny Glaser, who managed to end with 1,125,000.
Chung already has multiple cashes at this year’s World Series of Poker, including a deep run in the Seven Card Stud event a little over a week ago. Last year, Chung placed runner-up in a Limit 2-7 Triple Draw event and will surely be looking to leverage his chip lead to take down his first bracelet.
By the time late registration closed, the event had 281 entries, generating a prize pool of $1,683,300. The eventual winner will take home $399,988 in addition to the coveted gold bracelet.

Day 2 saw 29 additional players join the fray before late registration ended. While most of the late arrivals were eliminated shortly after entering, Steve Zolotow managed to run up a stack and navigate it to a bag. The only other late registrant who lasted the day was Glaser.
Among those to bust out before reaching the money included Alex Livingston, Ryutaro Suzuki, David Benyamine, Jesse Lonis, Tyler Brown, Nick Schulman, and Bob Slezak — who got his chips in good against Nacho Barbero in Razz, but was eliminated after Barbero drew to a seven.
Hand-for-hand play began two off the money and poker legend Phil Ivey was the first to go after falling to Barbero in Razz. Peter Rouviere was the unfortunate bubble boy after he also committed the rest of his chips in Razz and ended up making a ten against Chung’s six.
A slow but steady flow of eliminations followed the money bubble. Among those who managed to cash but fell short of Day 3 include Eric Wasserson (28th), Roland Israelashvili (24th), Jeff Madsen (21st), and Brad Ruben (18th) — who busted just before the day ended after getting notched by Mike Leah in a hand of Razz.
The tournament resumes on Wednesday, June 19 at 1 p.m. local time. Play will begin on Level 18, which features 10,000/20,000 blinds with 20,000/40,000 betting limits. Players will be sent on 10-minute breaks after each level and the plan is to bag up for the night when five players remain.

Razz
Brad Ruben: 8x4x/6xJx7x5x/8x
Mike Leah: 8x6x/Jx4x10x5x/3x
Brad Ruben completed with his six and Mike Leah called.
Leah called a bet from Ruben on fourth street and the rest of Ruben’s chips went in on fifth.
Ruben’s board left him with an eighty-seven, which was notched by Leah’s eighty-six to eliminate Ruben in 18th place.

Lawrence Brandt raised on the button and Dave Stann defended his big blind. The dealer fanned out the A♥2♦6♣ flop, where Stann check-called a continuation bet from Brandt.
Another check from Stann followed the 4♥ turn, once again calling when Brandt bet. The K♦ river saw one last check from Stann, making another call after Brandt fired again.
Brandt showed A♠3♠ for top pair, but Stann turned over A♦9♥ for top pair with a better kicker to take down the pot.

Michael Parizon raised in the hijack and Benny Glaser called in the small blind. Nacho Barbero defended his big blind to see the 6♦9♣5♦ flop, where both blinds checked.
Parizon bet, with Glaser folding and Barbero making the call. Another check from Barbero followed the 4♥ turn, where Parizon fired once again.
Barbero took a moment to check his cards before mucking, as Parizon gained some much-needed chips.

Action folded around to the blinds, where Scott Lake raised from the small blind and was called by Michael Parizon in the big blind.
Parizon called bets from Lake on the 2♠9♣5♥ flop, 8♥ turn, and 10♣ river. Lake turned over K♠Q♣ for king-high and Parizon showed he called down with Q♦2♦ for a pair of deuces to claim the pot.
On the very next hand, Lake went all in on the button for his last 15,000 and was called by Parizon in the small blind and Patrick Moulder in the big blind.
Action checked down on the K♠3♦5♠ flop and 5♣ turn, but then Parizon check-folded facing a bet from Moulder on the 3♣ river.
Moulder turned over 7♥3♠ for a full house, which was best against Lake’s J♣9♣ to eliminate Lake in 19th place.

Nicolas Milgrom was all in with a set of jacks, but Maksim Pisarenko was in front for the high with three kings that became a full house. Patrick Moulder made the low, good for half the pot as Milgrom was sent to the rail in 20th spot.

Christopher Chung: A♥A♦/A♣9♠3♠7♥/Xx
Per Hildebrand: XxXx/K♦5♣9♦10♥/Xx
Jeff Madsen was all in and at risk against Christopher Chung and Per Hildebrand. Both players checked through to fifth street, where Chung bet and Hildebrand called.
Another bet from Chung on sixth was called, before firing one last time on seventh street. Hildebrand took some time before making the call.
"Rolled up aces," said Chung as he showed down the winning hand. Hildebrand mucked, while Madsen showed three queens to finish second-best. That ended Madsen's run in 21st position.
