The Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas hosted Day 2 of Event #94: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Championship and the stars showed up to mix it up with one another on the felt.

Some 418 players entered Day 1, with 151 making it through and returning today for Day 2. An additional 84 players entered on Day 2, just in time for late registration, which closed after Level 11. The total entry number for this field tallied up to 502, with only 76 players making the money. The total prize pool generated was $3,887,400.

As Day 2 wrapped up, 28 players made it through to Day 3, where Adrian Mateos will start the day second in chips (2,860,000). The Spaniard has over $47,000,000 in live tournament winnings and four WSOP bracelets. He will be looking to add to these impressive stats tomorrow.

Fahredin Mustafov bagged a whopping 3,300,000 and leads the pack heading into tomorrow. The Bulgarian native has over $6,000,000 in live tournament earnings and several cashes this summer. His two best scores this WSOP include a tenth place in Event #28: $1,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em, which was good for a $30,304 payday. He also has a 24th place finish in Event #87: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em for $26,212.

Rounding out the top three in chips is James Chen ($1,895,000). The Day 1 chip leader had a rollercoaster of a day but finished where he wanted to, within striking distance of a final table. The WSOP bracelet winner has had an active summer and cashed the competitive Event #21: $25,000 High Roller Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em for $50,936.

Hand-for-hand play broke on the 14th hand of Level 17 after Atanas Malinov took a brutal beat and had his aces cracked, falling short of the money.

It was looking like Phil Hellmuth would add another WSOP cash to his decorated resume, but he fell short in 78th place, two off the money after Aram Zobian stacked him in a blind versus blind battle.
