Felix Schneiders
Felix Schneiders

Mohamed Djezzar was all-in for a shorter stack and awaited his fate as Felix Schneiders had jammed right in front of him. William Hani as the preflop three-bettor was in the tank and then called, as Schneiders' camera crew came closer to film the showdown.

Mohamed Djezzar: JJ
Felix Schneiders: QQ
William Hani: QQ

The two bigger stacks chopped up the chips of Djezzar on a board of K882A and then bumped fists after.

Livello 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Maciej Gut
Maciej Gut

Marc Uzan was all-in for the last 4,000 and Maciej Gut three-bet from one seat over in the hijack. Arthur Conan then four-bet to 21,500 in the cutoff to force out everyone behind, Gut called.

On the AQ10 flop, Gut check-raised from 8,000 to 20,000 and called all-in when Conan pushed all-in.

Marc Uzan: A3
Maciej Gut: KJ
Arthur Conan: AQ

Gut had flopped the best of it and held up on the 5 turn, he then hit the 9 river for a straight flush as the cherry on top. Both stacks of Gut and Conan were counted with the former doubling or 69,500, leaving Conan on a mere 1,000.

Bojovic would need some help against Konnikova's turned two pair, but the 3 river bricked out and Bojovic was sent to the rail.

Karoui Among the Early Chip Leaders

Livello 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Marton Czuczor
Marton Czuczor

Moncef Karoui had already chipped up early on and added even more chips after he knocked out Marton Czuczor. There was a minor twist to the story, though, as Karoui needed some time to think on a completed board of 10726J.

The clock was called on him when facing the shove by Czuczor, and Karoui then called with the 107 for two pair. It was good, as Czuczor only had the 99.

"Thank you," Karoui grinned to the player that had the called the clock on him.

Second Starting Day Awaits in the 2024 FPS Paris €2,200 High Roller

EPT Paris
EPT Paris

One year ago, the France Poker Series (FPS) Paris €2,200 High Roller drew a field of 910 entries as part of the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) stop in the city of love and French capital. It is already certain that this figure will be obliterated as the ongoing first starting day has attracted a field of nearly 1,200 entries.

The second and final flight of the 2024 FPS Paris €2,200 High Roller is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. local time and another bumper field is expected. All players who came up short in the earlier starting day will be tempted to take another shot at the seven-figure prize pool.

Defending champion is local player Mohamed Mokrani, who was among the participants in the record-setting 2024 FPS Paris €1,100 Main Event already. One year ago at the Hyatt Paris Etoile, Mokrani defeated Antony Marchetti in heads-up to claim the top prize of €305,300. It was a stacked final table that also included Wagner Ripper, Jon Kyte, Francesco Delfoco and Hugo Machado.

Day 1b mirrors the earlier flight in all but one major detail, as the level duration is reduced from 40 to 20 minutes. Each participant starts the journey with 30,000 in chips and the action will carry on until the top 15 percent of the field have been reached.

If a player has already participated in the previous flight, they can only enter once into Day 1b during the first ten levels. All other hopefuls who take their first shot are permitted a single re-entry during the registration period if they should run out of chips.

All survivors of the two starting days will have locked up a portion of the prize pool and continue their path on Day 2, Monday, February 19, at noon local time with 40-minute levels. This will be the final day of the tournament and a champion is set to be crowned.
