Boatman Forces Folds

Livello 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

David Kaufmann raised to 300,000 from middle position with A6 and the action folded to Barny Boatman on the button, who made it 875,000 to go with 75.

The blinds got out of the way and Kaufmann folded quickly as well, granting the pot to Boatman.

The very next hand, Aleksejs Ponakovs was the one in middle position and raised to 300,000 with K6. It once again folded to Boatman, who this time opted for a sizing of 750,000 with A9.

Another fold followed, seeing the British poker legend chip up through his preflop aggression.

Ponakovs Gets Paid in Full

Aleksejs Ponakovs

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 300,000 from the cutoff with A6 and Lorenzo Arduini defended K10 in the big blind. Ponakovs flopped a full house on 6AA and made a bet of 150,000.

Arduini check-called and the turn saw the 10 arrive. Arduini checked once more and was faced with a 700,000 bet from Ponakovs. Having been upgraded to two pair, Arduini made the call and the J river completed the board.

A third check followed from Arduini, after which Ponakovs put 1,700,000 chips in the middle. Arduini used three time bank extensions but eventually stuck in the call.

He saw the bad news at showdown and paid his dues to the Latvian high roller, who soared up the leaderboard as a result.

Lorenzo Arduini raised to 300,000 in early position and Peter Jorgne defended his big blind.

The flop came J102 and Arduini continued for 275,000. Jorgne called.

The A fell on the turn and Arduini bet another 850,000. Jorgne again called to see the 2 fall on the river.

Arduini then moved all in for 2,250,000 and Jorgne burned a time bank before sliding in the chips to call. Arduini showed AJ for two pair and Jorgne mucked A8 for an inferior two pair, sending the pot and double up over to Arduini

David Kaufmann raised to 300,000 in early position with Q8, Owen Dodd called with AK in the small blind, and Eric Afriat defended 108.

The K2J flop was checked through and the 6 fell on the turn. Afriat then bet 500,000 and Kaufmann called with a flush draw.

Dodd, sitting on top pair, used a time bank before moving all in for 2,400,000. "Can I take these back?" Afriat joked with the dealer about his bet as he folded, while Kaufmann also quickly folded.

Barer Folds Top Set, Extends Kaufmann's Lead

Livello 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Ami Barer

David Kaufmann looked down at 1010 in middle position and raised it up to 300,000. Peter Jorgne called in the cutoff with 77 and the action folded to Ami Barer in the big blind, who was sitting with JJ.

After thinking for a while, he tossed in a call and a flop of J102 was dealt. Barer checked his top set before Kaufmann bet out 300,000 with his middle set. Jorgne called with his sevens, but Barer bumped up the price to 1,400,000.

Kaufmann put in the extra chips, while Jorgne quickly got out of the way. The 6 turn rolled off and Barer used one time bank card before firing 2,675,000 in the middle, about half his remaining stack. Kaufmann just called and the 3 river completed the board.

Barer slowed down and checked the flush-completing card, but Kaufmann pushed enough chips in the middle to put Barer all-in for his final 2,780,000. Barer took a long time but eventually convinced himself to fold the better hand and conceded the pot to Kaufmann.

Livello 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Eric Afriat picked up JJ in the hijack and moved all in for 1,425,000. The rest of the table folded and Afriat took the blinds and ante.

A few hands later, Afriat looked down at KK and moved all in again, this time for 1,825,000 in early position. His opponents again quickly folded and Afriat won the minimum with his pair.

"I'll give you guys a break for a while," Afriat said.

Livello 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 300,000 on the button with 55 and Barny Boatman made the call in the big blind with A2.

Boatman then check-called Ponakov's 150,000 bet on the 48J flop before the 7 was turned.

Boatman decided to lead out for 300,000, which resulted in the end of the hand as Ponakovs quickly mucked his pocket pair.
