Day 2 of the Event #10: $5,000 Main Event Championship at the 2023 World Series of Poker Paradise at the five-star Atlantis Resort & Casino is upon us after the four starting flights that drew enough players to surpass the tournament's ambitious $15 million guarantee.

There were 274 players who advanced from the first three starting flights and they will be joined by the survivors of Day 1d. Among those players are no shortage of all-stars, including Daniel Negrenau, Maria Ho, Josh Arieh and Kevin Martin, four players who share a unique bond from competing on GGPoker's Game of Gold.

Also in the Day 2 field will be Adrian Mateos, Justin Saliba, Faraz Jaka, Timothy Adams, Chino Rheem, Steven Buckner and reigning Main Event champion Daniel Weinman.

Those players will also be joined by GGPoker online qualifiers, including Christian Rudolph, Tyler Cornell, Gabriel Schroeder and Daniel Dvoress.

Day 2 of the WSOP Paradise Main Event is slated to get underway at 5 p.m. local time, so it will likely be a late one before players come back for Day 3. After that, Day 4 will crown a winner that will have the honor of being the inaugural WSOP Paradise champion.

In addition to PokerNews coverage, fans can sweat the action by tuning into the GGPoker livestream.

Stay tuned as the PokerNews live reporting team is on-site at the shark-filled Atlantis Resort and will continue to provide updates on the WSOP Paradise Main Event.

Bujok Gets Early Double

Livello 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action folded to Szymon Bujok in late position who moved all in for his last 62,000 before Nello Neto flat-called next to act. The remaining players folded and they were heads up to a full board.

Szymon Bujok: KK
Nello Neto: KQ

There was a small sweat on the AJ2 flop but the A turn and 9 river gave Bujoki the pure double to stay alive.

Kaverman Floats, Turns a Set

Livello 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Byron Kaverman opened in middle position and Eduard Barsegian defended out of the big blind.

Barsegian checked on the flop of 584 and Kaverman continued for 14,000. Barsegian check-raised to 45,000 and Kaverman called. Barsegian then bet 50,000 on the 7 turn and Kaverman again called.

The K river completed the board and Barsegian sized up to 125,000. Kaverman quickly called. Barsegian showed A5 for a pair of fives as Kaverman tabled 77 to win the pot with a set of sevens.

Sivagnanam Sends Deyra to the Rail

Livello 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

A player in middle position raised to 21,000 only to see Ivan Deyra three-bet jam for 66,000 from the cutoff. Action folded through to Ratharam Sivagnanam in the big blind who came in for a four-bet to 166,000. The original raiser from middle position got out of the way, setting up a runout with Deyra at risk.

Ivan Deyra: AJ
Ratharam Sivagnanam: AK

The JQ4 flop was a great one for Deyra, but that quickly changed when the 10 hit the turn, giving Sivagnanam the nut straight and leaving Deyra drawing to a chop.

The river offered no such rescue, though, as the board completed with the Q to send Deyra to the rail with a min-cash.
