November Nine. E' una frase allitterativa. Ha la potenzialità di cambiare la vita e l'opportunità di servire come ambasciatori del poker per un anno. E' quello a cui ognuno dei 205 giocatori rimasti al World Series of Poker Main Event 2010 ha di sicuro pensato preparandosi per il Day 6.
La notte scorsa, 205 giocatori sono sopravvissuti. Cinque di loro hanno accumulato oltre 3.0 milioni in chips: Theo Jorgensen, Duy Le, Joseph Cheong, Michael Skender e Evan Lamprea.
Lamprea è il chip leader con 3,564,000, ma ai limiti di 8,000 e 16,000 una differenza di poche centinaia di migliaia di chips non è così importante quanto sembra. Inoltre, iniziare la giornata in testa non da garanzie a nessuno. Basta chiedere al chip leader del Day 4 Tony Dunst, che è passato dalla pole position ad inizio Day 5 a uno degli ultimi posti in classifica al termine. Dunst aveva cominciato il Day 5 con 1.5 milioni in chips, primo di 574 giocatori. Ha finito il Day 5 con 327,000 chips, 182° su 205 giocatori. Molto può succedere durante un lungo giorno di poker.
Non siamo sicuri su quanti livelli saranno giocati oggi. Il programma ne prevede quattro, ma gli ultimi giorni sono sempre molto flessibili con il direttore del torneo Jack Effel che avrà il compito di regolare l'azione per la determinazione dei November Nine domenica mattina. Se sarà necessario giocare uno o due livelli in più, state certi che Effel li aggiungerà al programma di oggi.
