Marcus Sucks Out to Double Up

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Edward Marcus wasted no time getting back into the action following the break, raising all in for 33,500 under the gun on the first hand back. Action folded around to David Low, who called as soon as he heard what the total was. The rest of the table folded and the two players flipped their cards.

Marcus: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Low: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Marcus missed the flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, but rocketed into the lead when the {a-Clubs} hit the turn. The river was the {8-Clubs}, and Marcus doubled to around 77,000.

Martin Holds to Win Huge Pot

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Two of the bigger stacks in the room just tangled, with Stefan Martin propelling himself close to the chip lead at the expense of James Heisler. We caught the action on the flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} with 26,000 in the pot. The action was fast and furious, as Martin bet 20,000, Heisler went all in, and Martin called in about a 4 second span.

The cards were flipped up, with Martin showing {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for an overpair and gutshot straight draw and Heisler showing two overs and a flush draw with {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, making him the slight favorite. Martin was able to dodge all of the outs, with the turn coming {4-Clubs} and the river coming {5-Diamonds}. Martin scooped the giant pot, and is now over 150,000 in chips.

Nagata Stays Alive

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Todd Nagata, from Las Vegas, pushed all in under the gun for his last 9,500 chips. Action folded all the way around to Stefan Martin in the big blind who called and flipped up {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Nagata turned up {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} on the flop, putting Martin ahead with a pair of sixes. Nagata eventually caught up on the turn and river when he caught two diamonds. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn and the {3-Diamonds} on the river.

Nagata now sits with around 20,000.

Dulay: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The board came out {4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Dulay was sent to the rail.

Tammy Murray Knocked Out

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

In a four-way limped pot, Tammy Murray bet 6,500 from early position on a flop of {2-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Clubs}, only to see Romeo Samblero raise to just over 20,000 from the cutoff. The small and big blind folded, leaving just Murray to act. Murray fell deep into the tank and eventually Samblero called the clock on her, giving her just one minute to act. With about 10 seconds to go, Murray folded what she claimed to be a pair of aces.

In the very next hand, Edward Marcus open-raised to 9,000 from late position and Murray made the call from the big blind with just 8,000 behind. Murray donk-shoved into Marcus for the rest of her chips on the {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop and Marcus made the call. Murray was in good shape and looking to double up with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The turn came the {7-Clubs}, but a {Q-} hit the river, giving Marcus a higher pair and sending Murray to the rail.

27 Remain...

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We now have only 27 players remaining in the tournament and they are currently redrawing for seats for the final three tables. They will do another redraw when they hit 18 and again when they reach the final table. The tension in the air is building with each elimination.
