Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage of Event #10: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed here at the 2011 World Series of Poker. We've got a great final 15 here in this event including six-max superstar Jeff Papola, 2010 bracelet winner Ryan Welch, online superstar Ravi Raghavan, Event #4 fourth-place finisher Eddie Blumenthal and high roller Bryan Colin.
Papola will be the one topping the field in chips with 1.088 million, but Alexander Wice isn't too far off the pace with 1.013 million. No one else boasts seven figures, but that could all change shortly after the cards are in the air. Michael Hauptman will begin the day as the short stack, returning with just 139,000 in chips.
With 15 players left, everyone has locked up a minimum payday of $19,802. First place is well over half a million dollars at $544,388, so the pressure is on. One thing for certain is that this event plays much more aggressive than normal, being six-handed and all. So the fireworks will be going off all day long.
Day 3 Table and Seat Draw
Play is set to kick off at 2:30 PM PT here in the Rio. We're located in the Amazon Room in the Blue Section right now, but should move to the feature stage when we get down to one table. While you're waiting for this event to start, check out the June 8th update video from our very own Sarah Grant. Play will be underway shortly.
