Negreanu Catches It

We were able get to Daniel Negreanu's table just as three players were being shown a flop of {6-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {A-Clubs}. After a check from the the small blind, Negreanu fired out a bet, and a player in late position three bet. The small blind then check-raised. Which both his opponents called.

The turn brought the {Q-Diamonds} where again the small blind checked and Negreanu bet out. The other two players quickly made the call.

The {K-Spades} came on the river and again Negreanu bet out, only to receive a call from one of the two remaining players in the hand. Negreanu exclaimed "caught it!" and showed the table {J-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}.

“It Could Be Worse, It Could Be Better, But In Fact It Just Is What It Is”

These words were spoken by Phil Laak following a hand he just played. A player in middle position limped and Laak raised on the button. Chris Tryba joined from the small blind as the player in middle position called. On the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, it was checked to Laak who led out. Both players called and the {3-Clubs} got checked around. This was the case on the {8-Spades} as well and the player in middle position flipped up {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair. Laak and Tryba mucked and both were down to below the starting stack in the early going.

Another Deep Run for Turner?

Livello 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

After a very impressive third place performance earlier in Event #8 $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em good for $274,005, Jon Turner is back at it again. We just found him raking in the pot with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for the flopped nut flush on a {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{X-} board. He is off to a decent start in this event so far and is up to 10,700 right before our first break.
