William Douglas-Smith Eliminated in 15th Place ($33,285)

Jeffrey Lavelle has now moved up to more than two million in chips after taking out William Douglas-Smith in 15th place ($33,285).

Douglas-Smith moved the last of his money into the middle preflop with {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}, but ran into Lavelle's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. Once again, Lavelle's hand held up after the board ran out {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Douglas-Smith was sent packing.

Douglas-Smith Connects With Connecters

William Douglas-Smith open shoved and Isaac Kirchner called from the big blind. Kirchner was way ahead holding {A-Hearts} {J-Spades} and Douglas-Smith needed to hit the board holding {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}.

The board ran {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {6-Spades} and Douglas-Smith hit a straight on the turn, which knocked Kirchner down to 135,000

Matthew Wood Eliminated in 16th Place ($26,338)

Matthew Wood - 16th Place
Matthew Wood - 16th Place

Shortly after Dylan Thomassie's elimination, Matthew Wood raised to 40,000 from early position before Andrea Vezzani reraised from late position. Wood shoved and Vezzani called, showing down {3-}{3-} against Wood's {A-}{A-}.

Another three on the flop was enough to seal Wood's fate. He's now collected $26,338 for his 16th place finish, but Vezzani is now our new chip leader with more than three million in his stack!

Dylan Thomassie Eliminated in 17th Place ($26,338)

From under the gun, Dylan Thomassie open-shoved for his last 127,000 before the flop. The action folded around to Foster Hays who reraised to 300,000 before Jeffrey Lavelle moved all-in from the small blind. Hays quickly got out of the way and the cards were revealed:

Lavelle: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Thomassie: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop of {Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{6-Spades} put Lavelle further in front, but gave Thomassie a chance with the gut-shot straight draw. No dice - the turn and river ran out {4-Diamonds}, {5-Clubs} and Thomassie hit the rail in 17th place ($26,338).

Andrea Vezzani is now up to 1.5 million in chips after sending Shoaib Makani to the rail in one of the first hands after the redraw was completed.

All the money was in the middle preflop; Makani tabled {A-}{8-} but was crushed by Vezzani's {A-}{A-} after the board ran out eight-high.

Makani collects $26,338 for his 18th place finish.

Thomassie Moves In and Left With Change

Dylan Thomassie opened to 43,000 from late postition and Robert Koss called from the big blind.

Showdown:
Thomassie: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Koss: {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}

The board fell {K-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {9-Spades} {2-Hearts} and Koss doubled to shy of a million. Thomassie lost a good portion of his stack and has some work to do to make the final table.
