Welcome back to the second day of the Seven Card Stud Championship event. 87 players remain with Frenchman Sebastien Sabic chip leader ahead of Russian Alexander Kostritsyn. The field remains stacked with numerous big names including Daniel Negreanu, Erick Lindgren and Tom Dwan.
Although we only lost a quarter of the field last night, we're expecting the bustouts to go a lot quicker today. Only sixteen players (the last two tables) will actually make the money, so there is a long way to go just yet. Play will start at 3pm.

Gonzalez: / FOLDED
Brenes: / /
Birman: / /
We caught up with the action on fifth where Fabrizio Gonzalez checked and Humberto Brenes bet with Yaniv Birman already all in on a previous street. Gonzalez folded and Brenes showed a flush. Birman was already drawing dead and quickly mucked his hand as the rest of his cards came out to eliminate him.
Alaei: / FOLDED
Kessler: /
Dwan: / FOLDED
Daniel Alaei and and Kessler both called the bring in before Tom Dwan completed and again both players called. Kessler took the lead with the betting on fourth street, Dwan called and Alaei folded but when Kessler made an open pair of jacks, Dwan was chucking his cards into the muck before "Chainsaw" could even bet.
Troy: /
Richey: /
Brett Richey was all in on third for his last 4,200 against Maxwell Troy's buried aces, but neither player improved and hence Richey was eliminated.
Mizrachi: / FOLDED
Violette: /
Zolotow: / FOLDED
Robert Mizrachi brought in and Cyndy Violette completed. Steve Zolotow and Mizrachi called as it was checked to Violette on fourth who bet. Both players called again and Violette bet on fifth as the first to act when she paired up. Zolotow called but Mizrachi got out of the way and Violette bet again on sixth with two pair now showing. Zolotow said “I need a queen” and Violette who was desperately looking for a call at this point said “There’s more in there” before Zolotow folded. Violette flashed the which gave her a full house as she raked in the pot.
Grospellier: /
Tulchinskiy: / /
Bertrand ‘Elky’ Grospellier completed and Mikail Tulchinskiy made the call. Tulchinskiy check-called Elky’s bets on every street with Elky turning over trips at the end which was good as Tulchinskiy mucked.
