Waxman Doubles and Then Some

From middle position, Eric Froehlich raised to 850. Matt Waxman was in the next seat and made the call before action folded to Nikolai Yakovenko on the button. He also made the call and everyone else folded.
The three players took the flop of 
with 3,000 chips in the middle. Froehlich checked after having raised preflop and Waxman announced, "Pot," before sticking out 3,000. Yakovenko called and then Froehlich did the same thing, leaving all three players in to see the turn.
The turn was the 
and with 12,000 in the middle, Froehlich checked. Waxman bet 2,200 and was all in. Yakovenko tank-folded before Froehlich made the call.

and Waxman's pair of eights held up to be the best hand at the end. Froehlich shipped over the chips to allow Waxman to double up and then some.
