Sirous Baghchehsaraie Eliminated in 22nd Place ($8,098)

Livello 19
Sirous Baghchehsaraie - 22nd place
Sirous Baghchehsaraie - 22nd place

Pot-Limit Omaha

Sirous Baghchehsaraie opened to 10,000 in the hijack seat, and John Monnette flatted from the cutoff seat. Brent Hanks called from the big blind as well, and it was three ways to the flop.

It came {8-Spades} {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts}, and Baghchehsaraie continued out into the pot with 31,500. Monnette quickly folded, but Hanks check-raised the pot. Baghchehsaraie had about 50,000 left behind, and he put the rest of them across the line to put himself at risk.

Showdown
Baghchehsaraie: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} {10-Spades} {9-Diamonds}
Hanks: {7-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}

Baghchehsaraie's aces were in front for the time being, but he was going to need to fade a world of outs. The turn {4-Clubs} gave Hanks a flush draw as well, and the river {A-Clubs} locked up the knockout, runner-runner style. It's Baghchehsaraie who falls in 22nd place, and our command+V is getting a break for the rest of the day. He'll pocket $8.098 for his work over the last three days.

Hanks is now the chip daddy with 410,000 chips towered in front of him.

Konstantin Puchkov Eliminated in 21st Place ($8,098)

2-7 Triple Draw

After a series of bets and raises, Konstantin Puchkov was all in before the first draw and up against Hooman Nikzad and Rami Boukai. All three players drew two on the first draw, Boukai bet into a dry side pot, and Nikzad called.

All three players drew one on the second draw, Boukai and Nikzad both checked, and all three players drew one again on the last draw.

Nikzad opened up {q-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} for a queen-seven, it was good, and Puchkov was eliminated from the tournament.

Juanda Wins Big One

Limit Hold'em

When we reached the table, John Juanda and Rami Boukai were heads up and the board read {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Juanda checked, Boukai bet, and Juanda raised. Boukai called.

The river was the {a-Clubs}, and Juanda led out. Boukai was visibly frustrated, but made the call. Juanda opened {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a rivered flush, and Boukai mucked his hand.

Shawn Buchanan Eliminated in 20th Place ($8,098)

Livello 19
Shawn Buchanan - 20th place
Shawn Buchanan - 20th place

2-7 Triple Draw

When we picked up the action after the second draw as Shawn Buchanan was already all in. He was up against Michele Limongi and Mayu Roca Uribe, and each of them took one card on the second pull. Limongi bet and was called by Uribe. Buchanan still needed one card while the others stood pat. The action repeated with Uribe calling one last bet.

Buchanan was drawing to an eight, but he pulled a pair to make {2-}{2-}{8-}{4-}{3-}, and he knew that was that. Limongi's {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} was good for the win and the knockout, pushing the Italian up to 290,000.

Ylon Schwartz Eliminated in 19th Place ($15,196)

Ylon  Schwartz - 19th place
Ylon Schwartz - 19th place

Limit Hold'em

Ylon Schwartz and Brent Hanks saw a flop of {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Schwartz bet out, and Hanks called. The turn was the {6-Hearts}, and Schwartz led again. Hanks opted to raise this time though, and Schwartz called.

The river was the {q-Hearts}, and Schwartz checked to Hanks who immediately fired. Schwartz slammed the table with his hand, and went into the tank before making the call. Hanks opened {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for trip sixes, and Schwartz mucked, leaving himself with just 50,000 chips.

We missed his bustout hand, but a few minutes later we heard a dealer call, "Seat open!", and Schwartz was pacing around, waiting for a floorperson to give him his payout ticket.

Marco Traniello Eliminated in 18th Place ($8,098)

Livello 19
Marco Traniello on Day 2
Marco Traniello on Day 2

Limit Hold'em

In a battle of the blinds, Desmond Portano and Marco Traniello were heads up with the board reading {4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Portano led out, Traniello raised, and Portano announced, "call."

Portano didn't put any chips out though, and the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}. Since the card came out before Portano's chips were committed to the pot, the {3-Hearts} was re-shuffled into the deck, and a new turn was dealt. It was the {j-Diamonds}.

Portano bet, Traniello called all-in, and the hands were tabled.

Portano: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Traniello: {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Initially, Traniello was furious. The jack on the turn gave Portano a better pair, but it was irrelevant because the {3-Hearts} would've given him a flush and an unbeatable hand anyway. Ironically, the river was the {3-Hearts}, giving him the flush for kicks and giggles, and Traniello was eliminated from the tournament.
