The Guy to the Right of Esfandiari Thinks

Livello 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

If you are lucky enough to have Antonio Esfandiari at your table, you know you are in for a fun day win or lose. He always finds a way to get interesting conversation started and make the table enjoyable for everyone. Today, he is mixing it up with a game of Lodden thinks.

For those of you who don't know this game, here is the readers digest version. Player A and Player B decide on a question for which they want a line set. For example, "How many players will register for todays tournament?" However, they don't win or lose based on the actual answer. Instead, they bet on what Player C believes the answer to be. Player A and Player B then take guesses in ascending order until one thinks the number is too high. If Player A says 3,000 and player B says 3,100, Player A can buy that number and takes 1 through 3,099 while player B gets 3,100 and above. If Player C thought that 2,850 would register, Player A wins, even if 3,200 actually register.

Johnny Lodden, for whom the game bears its name, is not available to be Player C, but a kind gentleman in the 2 seat was up to the task. The question was, "How many days would the 4 seat take off the end of his life to have control over the celebrity of his choice for one week?" Esfandiari and his opponent took a couple of hands to slowly increase the number. What started as 2 days became a week, then a month, then four months and finally Esfandiari bought his opponents guess of one year. The 2 seat announced he had guessed six months and Esfandiari screamed "Ship the Sherbert!"
