Frank Peelen raised in late position and Pat Pezzin called from the small bind. The flop came , Pezzin checked, Peelen bet 5,000 and Pezzin went all in. Peelin took a short thought, but then surrendered the pot to Pezzin.
Paul Volpe entered the pot from under the gun with a raise to 2,100 and was called by two players from the cutoff and small blind.
The flop was checked through before the small blind led for 4,500 when the turn landed the . Volpe was the lone caller as the on the river saw his opponent push out 7,500. Volpe made the call tabling his to best his opponent's .
Although Volpe collected the pot, he is only sitting at roughly 95,000 after starting the day at over 120,000. Looking around the table, we noticed that Benjamin Keiley had more than doubled his stack, and one can only assume, Volpe contributed to this.
Gavin Cochrane opened for 2,000, Sam Stein called from the cutoff and Mohamad Kowssarie called from the button. The flop came and all three players checked. The turn came , Cochrane checked, Stein bet 4,600 and Kowssarie potted for 24,000. Cochrane got out of the way and Stein went all in and Cochrane called.
The river came and Stein tabled and eliminated Kowssarie with top set.
On a flop we found Tex Barch firing out 7,000 only to have Dan Heimiller raise to 19,000 to force the third player in the hand out. Barch shoved and Heimiller made the call for his final 38,500.
Barch:
Heimiller:
With Heimiller in the lead, the and on the turn and river would see him make a full house to best Barch's runner-runner nut flush. As Heimiller moves to 82,000, Barch slips down to 35,000 in chips.
Darryll Fish has managed to find a triple... but only to 4,500.
Fish was all in preflop holding , and when the board was spread, Fish's overkill of a full house saw him snag the triple while still remaining desperately short in chips.
Eli Elezra was down to just 2,400 when he moved all in from the small blind. Action folded back around to Inesa Roberzs on the button. She called and tabled and Elezra held .
The board ran and Elezra doubled to 6,000, which is still pretty short.
Taylor Mcfarland opened to 1,800 only to have Jens Hansen flat the cutoff before Karl Mahrenholz potted to 7,600 from the big blind.
Mcfarland called, but Hansen re-potted to 30,800 as Mahrenholz committed his 9,600 total. Mcfarland called before pushing his last few thousand in on the flop as Hansen made the call.
Mahrenholz:
Hansen:
Mcfarland:
The turn and river landed the and to see Mcfarland bust as Hansen takes the mammoth side pot to move to 90,000 while chopping the main pot with Mahrenholz.
