A stellar field took to the felt yesterday to form a $2,256,000 prizepool where over $600,000 and a coveted gold bracelet was up for grabs. The 240 players that went to battle in a game that is widely agreed to be one of the toughest to play saw the field reduced to 173 after just eight levels of play.
Ron "Grumpy" Ware sits atop the leaderboard with an amassed 122,300-chip stack, but snapping at his heels is Dustin Leary with his 114,000-chip stack. Team PokerStars Pros Eugene Katchalove (101,600), Daniel Negreanu (99,900) and Barry Greenstein (86,900) sit in the top ten alongside Tom Koral (98,400), Brett Richey (88,000) and Chau Giang (80,700).
