Homan Hits a Homer, Doubles Through Rounick

David Rounick made it 75,000 to go from the cutoff and Christopher Homan responded by moving all-in for his last 415,000. Rounick made the quick call and flipped over {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, which gave him the slight advantage over Homan's {A-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The players were racing for the pot and when the flop fell {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Rounick jumped out to a head start. The {A-Hearts} on the turn tripped him up, however, and now he needed to spike a nine on the river to score the knockout.

River: {2-Hearts}

The brick on the river sealed the double-up for Homan and he climbed to 920,000, while Rounick fell to 650,000 with the loss.

Daniel Aldridge Eliminated in 10th Place ($31,219)

Daniel Aldridge - Eliminated in 10th Place ($31,219)
Daniel Aldridge - Eliminated in 10th Place ($31,219)

After watching a fellow short stack double-up in the previous hand, Daniel Aldridge decided to give it a go himself. Aldridge raised to 70,000 from the button and after Perry Lin reraised enough to put him all-in, Aldridge committed the rest of his chips.

Showdown:

Aldridge: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Lin: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

Aldridge had Lin dominated with his better kicker and he needed to fade jacks to double through.

Flop: {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Spades}

Aldridge could not fade the deck and Lin took the lead with a pair on the flop. The {A-Hearts} on the turn solidified things for Lin, and after the {9-Hearts} on the river, he had sent Aldridge home to complete our official final table. Aldridge exited in 10th place and pocketed $31,219 for his run to the top-ten in this tournament.

Raise and You Shall Receive

Livello 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

After the recent elimination of David Aldridge, the play here at the final table has slowed to a snail's pace. The last five hands dealt have been won with single preflop raises.

With the spotlight and cameras now on each of our nine official final table members, nobody wants to be the first to make a mistake and respect is being given to the preflop aggressor.

Pim de Goede Dodges the Deck to Double Through

Arkadiy Tsinis raised to 65,000 from middle position and found three callers in Paul Nash, Ryan Laplante and Pim de Goede. We went to the flop in our first multiway pot in what seemed like ages.

Flop: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The action was checked around to Laplante, who fired a bet of 140,000 into the middle. This move was met by an all-in shove by de Goede, and after the other two players got out of the way, Laplante made the call.

Showdown:

de Goede: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Laplante: {K-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Pim de Goede had flopped trip tens but Laplant was drawing live with his flush draw, gutshot straight draw and straight flush draw. Any jack or non-seven heart would give Laplante the win.

Turn: {6-Spades}
River: {5-Spades}

Despite his multitude of outs, Laplante bricked out and de Goede scored the double-up. He pumped his fist in excitement after fading every draw, while Laplante shipped nearly half of his stack across the table

Ladies Love Arkadiy Tsinis

Arkadiy Tsinis Loves the Ladies After Doubling With Pocket Queens
Arkadiy Tsinis Loves the Ladies After Doubling With Pocket Queens

After Arkadiy Tsinis raised to 60,000 from under-the-gun, Randolph Lanosga three-bet to 150,000. Undeterred, Tsinis four-bet for the rest of his stack and Lanosga snap-called with {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}.

Tsinis was crushed with his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and needed lucky ladies to arrive in a hurry.

Flop: {3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Tsinis' rail exploded in celebration after they saw a queen on the flop. Now it was Lanosga's turn to hope that the deck would deliver a two-outer, but no such miracles were forthcoming, as the turn and river ran out {3-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts} respectively.

Randolph Rebounds With Pocket Rockets

After losing a huge pot against Arkadiy Tsinis with pocket aces, Randolph Lanosga woke up with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} once again. He raised to 70,000 from the button and his nemesis reraised to 140,000. Lanosga shoved all-in for his remaining chips and Tsinis called with {k-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, trying to finish what he started just a few hands ago.

The dealer spread a flop of {2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{A-Hearts} across the felt and Lanosga's top set took the commanding lead. He was not of the woods yet, howver, as Tsinis caught a gutshot straight draw and could catch up with if a ten arrived.

Turn: {5-Spades}
River: {6-Hearts}

Lanosga's trip aces held up and he earned a much deserved double-up after his crushing defeat with aces just minutes before.
