Event #4: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em

Four Remain for Event #4 Bracelet

Chip Leader Allen Bari (from yesterday)
Chip Leader Allen Bari (from yesterday)

Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2011 World Series of Poker for the re-comencement of the final table of Event #4: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em.

Although scheduled to play down to a winner yesterday, the new hard-stop rules of the WSOP prevented the conclusion of the final table, but after a few nervous hours of sleep, just four people remain in contention for the Event #4 bracelet.

Crushing. That is the word that best describes the way Allen Bari played the final table, and if he and his amassed 9,125,000-chip stack has it his way, he will definitely be looking to continue to crush the final table. His three opponents are all roughly even-stacked, and it is Maria Ho that is capturing a lot of the spotlight from Bari as she has become the first female to make a 2011 WSOP final table.

With $874,116 on offer for whoever can best the final four players, here is how the prizes and final table payouts have fallen:

Blumenthal Getting Agro

Livello 31 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

From the small blind Nicholas Blumenthal was at it again as he pushed all in from the small blind. On the very next hand, Blumenthal would push once again - this time from the button - as both Allen Bari and Maria Ho folded their blinds.

Maria Doubles... with Quad Aces!

Livello 31 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

From the button, Allen Bari put his big stack to good use by pushing for roughly 9,000,000. With Maria Ho situated in the small blind, she made the call for her 810,000-chip stack. Sean LeFort passed in the big blind, and the cards were placed on their back.

Bari: {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Ho: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

Although Bari was caught making a button-move, he was only a slight underdog until the flop fell {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Now needing to snag a runner-runner straight to eliminate Ho, the {A-Clubs} on the turn sealed the deal for Ho gifting her a double to 1,760,000 as Bari slips to just over 8,000,000 in chips.

Bari Ain't Slowing Down

Livello 31 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Although seeing roughly ten-percent of his stack shipped to Maria Ho a few hands earlier, Allen Bari wasn't going to play scared as he pushed from the small blind into Ho.

Potentially risking nearly one-quarter of his stack, Bari was quickly pushed Ho's big blind and the antes when Ho kicked her cards to the muck.
