Montgomery Chipped Down

On a flop of {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} we found Scott Montgomery's continuation-bet of 5,000 being check-raised to 15,000.

Montgomery responded with a three-bet to 40,000 and his opponent swiftly called as the {10-Spades} on the turn was checked through.

The river of the {6-Diamonds} saw Montgomery faced with a 54,500-chip all in bet from his opponent, which after two minutes, he opted to fold to while slipping to 100,000 in chips.

Richey Exits

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After doubling up a player, Brett Richey was knocked down to a very short stack. From under the gun plus one, Richey raised to 12,200 and was all in. 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Carlos Mortensen made the call from the big blind to put RIchey at risk. He held the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Richey held pocket threes -- {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Mortensen was able to hit a ten to win the hand. He moved to about 120,000 in chips while Richey hit the rail.

Bergeron Busts

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Craig Bergeron entered the pot with a raise only to have Christian Harder come over the top with a three-bet from the cutoff. Bergeron responded by moving all in for roughly 38,000 and Harder made the call.

Bergeron: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Harder: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

The jack-high board wouldn't be one that kept Bergeron in the tournament as he was bundled to the rail by fellow online MTT-expert Harder who moved to 82,000 in chips.

Lee Busts Sheikh

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We just reported that Bernard Lee had eliminated an opponent and moved to about 90,000 in chips. In fact, he's close to 100,000 and let us know how the hand went.

The cutoff seat, Allen Bari, raised to 3,200. Lee called from the button and then [Removed:163] moved all in from the small blind. Action folded back to Lee and he made the call with pocket nines. Sheikh held {A-}{6-}.

The board ran out {J-}{6-}{2-}{Q-}{5-} and Lee won the hand. Sheikh was eliminated.

Lemke Slips

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With the board reading {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the pot brewing at over 20,000, chip leader Brian Lemke slid out a bet of 14,000 into his opponent.

That opponent deliberated for nearly two minutes before eventually making the call.

Lemke tabled his {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, but it would be his opponent's {A-Spades}{5-Spades} that would see him collect the pot as Lemke slips to 205,000 in chips.

Richey's Sevens Are Good

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From under the gun, Corey Burbick raised to 3,600. Brett Richey called from the hijack seat and then Mike Wattel called out of the big blind to send three players to the flop.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and action checked to Richey. He bet 4,600 and only Wattel called to see the turn, which brought the {J-Hearts} to the party.

On the turn both players checked and the river completed the board with the {6-Hearts}. Both Wattel and Richey checked again.

Wattel announced ace high and then Richey turned over the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for the winning hand. He improved to 78,000 while Wattel slipped back to 97,000.

Lindgren Runs Boat into Boat

Erick Lindgren on Day 1

"All in," said Erick Lindgren.

"Call!" snapped back his opponent as the board read {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Lindgren turned over the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a full house, but his opponent's {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} was a better full house and Lindgren was knocked back to about 55,000 in chips.
