Richard Ashby Eliminated in 20th Place ($7,452)

Livello 19

Stud 8

Kyle Loman: {2-}{4-} / {3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} / {3-}
Richard Ashby: {x-}{x-} / {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{A-Clubs} / {x-}

Richard Ashby was calling and check-calling all the way down the streets and was crippled when Loman flipped {2-}{4-}{3-} for the wheel to scoop the pot.

The rest of Ashby's chips went in with {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} against Benjamin Lukas' {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}. Ashby ended up making eights and sixes with no low but Lukas backdoored into trip threes to eliminate the Englishman.

Barry Greenstein Eliminated in 19th Place ($7,452)

Barry Greenstein eliminated and signs his book.
Barry Greenstein eliminated and signs his book.

Omaha 8

It looked as though four bets had been put in by Barry Greenstein, Kyle Loman and Matthew Ashton preflop before the flop came out {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Greenstein checked, Loman bet, Ashton folded and Greenstein check-raised all in.

Greenstein: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Loman: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades} gave both gutshot straight draws but the {3-Spades} river helped neither, Loman's two pair was the better and Greenstein signed his book for his opponent before heading to the rail.

Scotty Nguyen: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades} / {3-Diamonds}

With his stack dwindling, Kevin Iacofano made his stand on fifth street holding a pair of sevens. Scotty Nguyen looked over and said "I got nothin' baby" but when the dealer tossed him a king on sixth street, his pair out him in the lead. Iacofano squeezed his last down card and then stood up and said "good game everyone." He had failed to make a second pair and was eliminated in 18th place, taking home $7,452 for his run.

Thomas Keller was all in on fifth street with jacks against Nguyen's pair and a low draw. The latter took the lead when he made aces up on sixth, Keller needed a jack but it didn't matter that he couldn't pick it up on seventh as Nguyen made a full house on seventh anyway.

The players are now redrawing for two tables.

Mizrachi Grinding the Competition to Dust

Livello 20

Omaha 8

Riding a short stack, Hoyt Verner put it all on the line against both Michael Mizrachi and Owais Ahmed. After the Grinder raised to 16,000 before the flop, both Verner and Ahmed made the call. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{A-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Verner bet, Ahmed called and Mizrachi raised it up.

Verner made the call and his last chips were in the middle. Ahmed decided to reraise and watched the Grinder do the same. Ahmed called and the two players saw the turn card come {A-Clubs} as they contested the side pot. Ahmed checked the turn and Mizrachi continued his aggressive line, firing another bet into the pot. Ahmed came along and the river fell {8-Clubs}. After another check-call, it was time for the hands to be revealed.

Mizrachi: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Ahmed: {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Verner: {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Mizrachi claimed the high half of the pot with his trip aces, while Verner and Ahmed chopped the low half with identical A-2-3-4-8 lows. The win put the Grinder over 700,000 chips for a commanding lead, as no other player has more than 300,000.
