Bruno Lopes opened the action preflop with a raise to 22,000 from the cutoff. Andrew Savitz flatted from the button, as did Kevin Eyster in the big blind.
The flop was and Eyster checked to Lopes who bet 46,000. Savitz came in with a raise to 100,000 and Eyster let the two play heads up. Lopes proceeded to hit the tank hard. After two or three minutes he apologized to the table and another two or three minutes later he tried to call the clock on himself. You can't do that, however, so Eyster helped him out. About halfway through the count, he slowly slid his cards to the dealer and Savitz raked in the pot.
Lopes left himself with just 150,000 after the fold while Savitz propels himself to 800,000.
Jeff Sarwer got his last 165,000 in the middle with against the of Ben Volpe. He was happy to see that he was flipping and even happier to see the flop which put him in the lead. The turn-river came out and Sarwer won the hand.
With that pot, Sarwer now sits at 350,000 while Volpe still has 625,000.
Kevin Eyster opened to 28,000 from the cutoff seat, and Wesley Pantling called on the button. From the small blind, Arnaud Esquevin squeezed all in for 198,000 total, and that folded Eyster. Pantling, however, put in the call to put Esquevin at risk.
Showdown
Pantling:
Esquevin:
Esquevin's pair held as the board came running . He's doubled his way back to 415,000 now, while Pantling is left with just 27,000 with which to try and mount a comeback.
We only caught the tail end of this pot, walking up as the full board was out on the table. Heads-up, Isaac Baron made a leading bet of 86,000, and David Baker made the call to see the cards.
Baron showed for the full house, and Baker's muck leaves his stack reduced to 205,000 while Baron improves to 435,000.
Adam Geyer raised to 27,000 from the cutoff before Christian Kruel three-bet all in for 235,000. Geyer had it counted it out a couple of times and thought for a bit before making the call.
Geyer:
Kruel:
The board ran out and Kruel doubled up. He now has 490,000 while Geyer slips to 190,000.
We didn't see how the money went in, but Eric Froehlich and David Baker tangled up in a battle of the blinds that left Baker all in. He was in good shape though, sitting with . Froehlich's was mediocre, but it improved in a hurry.
The board came (bink!) , and E-Fro runs down a straight to drag the pot. With it comes the elimination of David Baker, run out in 32nd place. We'll wait for Froehlich to stack up before we can count him down.
