Peng Tries Again With Big Slick

Livello 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Vanessa Peng opened the pot with a raise, and Pierre Neuville three-bet to 100,000 from the hijack seat. Peng shoved all in for 343,000, and Neuville made the call for about half his own stack.

Showdown
Peng: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Neuville: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}

Peng was in this exact spot earlier against Ben Volpe, and he won the race with pocket queens to knock Peng down the counts. This time, though, Peng got some Big Slick revenge, pairing up twice on the {K-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {2-Spades} board to notch a double up.

She's back to 750,000 now, while Neuville drops down to 445,000.

Paul Griem Eliminated in 23rd Place ($25,919)

Paul Greim - 23rd place
Paul Greim - 23rd place

Eric Froehlich and Paul Griem got it all in before the flop, Greim beginning the hand with the shorter stack of around 300,000. He was in good shape with {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, but Froehlich was looking to spoil the party with {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}.

And spoil it he would, in most exciting fashion. The board? {6-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {7-Hearts}. That's too many hearts for Griem, his kings flushed down the drain by Froehlich. With the knockout pot, E-Fro chips over a big milestone and into second place with 1.26 million. Griem is left with no chips, but he will take home more than $25,000 in cash.

On an {8-Spades}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} board, Narendra Banwari bet 47,000 into a pot already worth at least 100,000. In position, Kevin Eyster made the call. The river was the {2-Clubs} and Banwari checked to Eyster who moved all in for 174,000. Banwari thought long enough to enter the break time. Eventually he made the call with {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Eyster showed a busted combo-draw with {10-Spades}{7-Spades} and had no choice but to hit the rail.

Banwari now has over a million chips with that pot.

Action folded around to Michael Benvenuti in the small blind. He looked down at his cards and moved all in. Ryan Young was in the big blind with about 250,000 and called for less.

Benvenuti: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Young: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Young could not improve. With that pot, Benvenuti is now in possession of 780,000 chips.
