Outhred’s Full House > Ji’s Flush

We caught up with the action heads up on a {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board between Alex Outhred and Young Ji. There was already a sizeable bet out there that looked be around 17,200 when Ji potted all in. It was now up to Outhred who went into the tank. He eventually made the call as the players turned up their hands.

Outhred: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Ji: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The river came the {4-Hearts} and Ji immediately shouted, “YES!!!” as he thought he won the entire pot with a flush. Unfortunately for him, Outhred quietly pointed out that his king and four made him a full house to actually scoop the pot. After it was counted down, Outhred had 57,100 on top of the 17,200 which was more than Ji had who was eliminated.

Afterwards, Outhred joked, “I’m so glad I’m not completely broke and don’t care about the money” which enabled him to make the big call as opposed to folding if he really needed the min-cash.

Rowsome vs. the Bubble

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

We're just two players away from the cash, and Adrienne Rowsome is doing her best to hang on long enough to get there.

All in for her last 1,000 from early position against both Trai Dang and William Speir, the flop came {8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Dang bet Speir out of the side pot. Dang showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Rowsome {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn, but the {9-Spades} on the river gave Rowsome a straight to beat Dang's trips and survive.

All in on the next hand for 4,000 from under the gun, Rowsome survived again versus Dang, this time splitting a pot and picking up a few extra chips by taking the low versus his high.

She made it through the blinds as well, folding each time to leave herself with just 2,500. She has the button now, and so can last at least another orbit by folding. Stay tuned.

Cash Approaches, Tension Mounts

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Still two away from the cash. Neal Levin was just now all in for his last 20,000 with {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and hoping to draw better than -- or at least split with -- Tom Chambers who held {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

The board came {10-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{K-Spades}, giving Levin a Broadway straight for the high and a scoop to double through. He breathes a bit easier now with his new stack of 40,000.

More Eliminations Close To The Bubble

Only 90 pay and we have 92 left after this three way hand with two preflop all ins.

From under the gun, Jeremie Guez pushed his last 3,850 into the pot, Michael Greco in next position called, and Stephen Kusturiss in the next position re-raised all in for 14,500. The rest of the table folded back to Greco who eventually made the call.

Guez: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Greco: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Kusturiss: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} which meant that Guez and Greco split the main pot for 6,000 each, and Greco scooped the side pot after Kusturiss' low outs paired up and Greco made a flush on the river.

Kusturiss hit the rail, Guez was left with 6,000, and Greco made out the best with 65,000

Rowsome With Awesome Double

With only 2,500 left and the big blind at 2,000, Adrienne Rowsome moved all in from under the gun. It was folded around to Marco Oliveira on the button who raised the pot. This got the blinds to fold and Rowsome would be heads up for her tournament life.

Rowsome: {K-Hearts}{Q-}{J-}{9-Hearts}
Oliveira: {A-}{10-}{3-}{3-}

The board ran out {K-}{5-}{10-}{A-}{7-} and included three hearts to not only give Rowsome a straight but also a flush which was good to more than triple her up to 8,000

Rowsome Out; One to Money

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Alas, Adrienne Rowsome couldn't hold out any longer. While Karl Mahrenholz was doubling through Tom Chambers on another table, Rowsome finally lost the last of her short stack to go out in 92nd just two spots shy of the money.

In Mahrenholz's hand, he was all in for almost 45,000 with {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} versus Chambers' {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The board ran out {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and with a full house Mahrenholz was able to double back to about 90,000. Chambers -- having suffered through a couple of double-throughs here on the bubble -- is at 76,000 now.

In Rowsome's final hand, Alex Outhred raised to 6,000, she pushed for her last 8,000 or so, and he called. Outhred had {A-}{K-}{8-}{2-} and Rowsome {A-}{9-}{5-}{3-}. The community cards came {2-}{6-}{J-}{J-}{Q-}, and the deuce in Outhred's hand meant Rowsome was out.

With 91 left, they are now playing hand-for-hand.

Jeremie Guez Takes The Long Moneyless Walk

Jeremie Guez is our bubble boy here in Event #51: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-low Split-8 or Better.

Alex Wice raised it up to 4,000 preflop and got calls from Kathy Liebert, Jeremie Guez on the button (who was all in for 1,200) and Alexandre Gomes in the big blind.

The flop came down {3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} Gomes checked, Wice bet 4,500, Liebert raised the pot, and both players folded.

Liebert showed {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Guez had {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The turn and river came {10-Clubs} and {a-Hearts} and Guez got scooped and hit the rail as our last eliminated player not getting paid. The eliminations will be coming fast and furious now as short stacks can at least fall back on getting paid when they make their all in moves.

Laing Makes the Money, Phillips Cashes

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Over at Table 370, Vern Laing is still sitting with his short stack, having achieved his goal of making the money.

Meanwhile at the same table, Dale Phillips was just all in with {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} against Alexander Dovzhenko's {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The board came {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, giving Dovzhenko tens and treys to crack Phillips aces and send him out with a minimum cash.
