Graham Gone

Livello 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Three players -- one in middle position, the small blind, and Matt Graham in the big blind -- limped to see a flop come {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. It checked to Graham who bet the pot (2,400), and only the middle position player called. The turn was the {2-Clubs}. Graham deliberated for a few seconds, and his opponent got confused and thought Graham had already bet the 2,400 still sitting in front of him from the previous street. "How much?" he asked. "I haven't bet yet," came the reply from Graham.

Finally, Graham bet the pot -- 7,200 -- and his opponent very quickly called. The river brought the {10-Hearts} and a slowly delivered check from Graham. His opponent immediately set out a stack of chips for a bet of 5,000, enough to put Graham, who had only 4,100 left, all in. Graham sat uncomfortably for about a minute, then finally with a look of resignation said he was calling.

His opponent quickly tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the Broadway straight. "Good hand," exhaled Graham, who hits the rail with about 240 players still remaining.
