Hansen Eliminated

Livello 10

NLHE

Action folded to Thor Hansen in the small blind who pushed all in for a total of 13,000. The big blind called and Hansen was at risk.

Hansen: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Big Blind: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The flop brought good news for Hansen when it came {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} to boost him into the lead, but the {k-Clubs} fell on the turn flipping the lead back to the big blind. The {5-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Hansen was sent to the rail.

Cheong Busts Ho

No Limit Hold'em

Maria Ho moved all in from late position for 16,500 and was called by Joseph Cheong on the button. The blinds got out of the way and the hands were exposed:

Ho: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Cheong: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Ho was ahead and stayed that way when the flop came {4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Unfortunately for Ho, the {8-Diamonds} turned, giving Cheong a set of eights and a commanding lead in the hand. The river blanked for Ho, coming {Q-Hearts} and the chips were pushed in Cheong's direction.

"Nice playing with you all," Ho said graciously before she walked away toward the rail.

Cheong Scoops One

Limit Hold'em

The player under the gun put in a raise and a late position player made the call. Joseph Cheong three-bet from the cutoff and was called by both players.

The flop fell {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and all three players checked. The {9-Clubs} hit the turn and the player under the gun pushed out a bet. The late position player folded and Cheong decided to raise. His opponent made the call and they saw a {2-Spades} river pair the board. The action went check-check and Cheong showed {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} which won against his opponent's {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Cheong is now sitting with around 82,000.

Lieu Loses

Limit Hold'em

We managed to find Liz Lieu in the big blind mixing it up on a {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop. Lieu check-raised her opponent who sat in early position. Her opponent seemingly did not like that and raised. Both players then raised back and forth until the betting was maxed out.

With a {4-Hearts} on the turn Lieu made a bet and was all in, her opponent called.

Lieu: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Lieu was behind and was going to need to hit a nine in order to stay alive in this tournament. She received no help as a {A-Hearts} rang off the deck for the river.

Smith Sends One to the Rail

LHE

Justin Smith raised from middle position and a player in late position re-raised. Smith called and they saw the flop come {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Smith check called a bet from his opponent and the turn brought the {5-Hearts}. Smith checked, the other player bet, and Smith raised. The other player called putting himself all in and the hands were revealed.

Smith: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Smith had his opponent drawing dead and the river was a meaningless {2-Diamonds}. The other player headed to the rail while Smith stacked up 33,000 in chips.

Binger Takes a Hit

Limit Hold'em

Action began when Bertrand Grospellier made a raise from late position. Michael Binger called from the button and the player in the big blind three-bet. Grospellier folded his hand and Binger replied by pushing out a four-bet. The big blind called and the two saw a {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} flop. The big blind check-called a bet from Binger.

The {4-Hearts} turned and and once again the big blind check-called a bet from Binger. The {K-Spades} came on the river and history seemed to repeat itself as the big blind check-called a bet for a third time.

The big blind player tabled {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Binger sent his hand into the muck, taking a pretty substantial hit to his stack.

Moorman Moves Out

Livello 9

LHE

The player in the hijack raised, the cutoff re-raised, Chris Moorman made it four bets to go from the small blind, and the big blind, hijack and cutoff all called.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Moorman bet out and all three other players called. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Moorman tossed out his last 2,600 in chips. The player in the big blind then raised to 5,600, the hijack called, and the cutoff folded. The river was the {q-Clubs} and the big blind bet out and the hijack folded leaving the big blind and Moorman heads up for the pot.

The big blind revealed his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for two pair and Moorman mucked his hand and headed to the rail.
