UPDATE: Competitor Withdrawn From Play Due to Illness
There have been confirmed reports of a female competitor having taken ill at table eight prior to the dinner break. During that time, the other players were moved to another table in order for the janitors to clean up and upon the completion of the dinner break, the players were able to return to their original table, along with the ill player's stack, which was blinded out until she returned earlier in previous blind level.
However, she was sick once again, and at the instruction of the floor staff, the player was asked to leave to seek medical attention. While her fellow tablemates have been moved out to table 32 to continue play, as per the WSOP rules, her stack will be blinded off until she is either deemed fit to return by a doctor or she runs out of chips, whichever comes first.
On behalf of the PokerNews team, we wish her a speedy recovery.
