An under-the-gun player raised to 350 and found one call in the form of Jon Zaun in middle position. It was heads up to the flop, which saw the UTG player fire out 500. Zaun thought for a moment before releasing his hand.
Zaun, who won his way into today's event in a freeroll tournament, is sitting with right around 4,300.

Today's event is the fifth and final $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event of the 2011 WSOP. Over the past four $1,000 events registration numbers have been decreasing with each new event. The first $1,000 event this year, Event #8, and today's event are the only two to have two Day 1's while the other three only had one starting day. Subsequently, it would be shocking if this event's total registration didn't top that of events #20, #34, and #45. Here's how the registration for all this year's events ended up.
Event #8 $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em - 4,178 players (2,116 on Day 1a, 2,062 on Day 1b)
Event #20 $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em - 3,175 players
Event #34 $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em - 3,144 players
Event #45 $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em - 2,890 players
Based on what we were told by one of the floor staff, 1,932 players took to the felt today so although it's unlikely we'll beat the total of players that entered Event #8, after registration closes tomorrow we may come close.
