Day 3 of Event #54: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em is set to begin and our final 44 players will be taking their seats shortly. Our chipleader is currently Anibal Andres with 799,000 in chips. Other big stacks include Stanislav Alekhin (786,000) and Terrance Eischens (709,000) but we can't leave out Matt LaGarde (517,000) and Max Lykov (338,000) who are both no strangers to going deep in WSOP events. Lykov and Alekhin will be seated right next to each other to start the day so we may see some Russian fireworks coming from that table.
We will be playing down to a final table today before play is halted, so this should prove to be a relatively short day. All of the remaining players are guaranteed to take home at least $13,137 but we're sure they're all itching to take home the $648,880 and prestigious gold bracelet that will go to our eventual champion.
Stay with us here at PokerNews for all your updates! Cards will be in the air soon!

Pierre Neuville has already doubled up with against Ryan Buckholtz. We missed the latter's hand but presumed a pair of some sort as the board read out to make a wheel for the Belgian.

Christopher Trueblood was all in with against Sebastien Roy's and was looking very safe on the flop, as well as the turn but the river made Roy a wheel to win the pot.

With the board already reading , Dror Michaelo checked and Terrance Eischens bet 18,000. Michaelo then raised to 55,000 and Eischens thought for a bit before sliding out a stack of large denomination chips that easily had Michaelo's stack covered. Michaelo decided to call and the hands were revealed.
Michaelo: (jack-high and a flush draw)
Eischens: (straight-flush draw)
Both players held flush draws, Michaelo drawing to a jack-high flush but Eischen's having one-out to a straight flush as well drawing to a straight. The turn and river brought the and changing nothing and Michaelo's jack was good enough to win him the pot and doubling his stack up to around 585,000.

Ryan Buckholtz has just doubled his short stack twice in quick succession.
He was first all in with against Sebastian Roy's and lucked out on a flop before the getting all in with against Mario Dona's by spiking the board.
