Bonding Building

Livello 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Lars Bonding opened for 130,000 from the hijack seat, and Kyle Johnson called from one seat over. It folded to Jerry Van Strydonck in the big blind who called as well.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Van Strydonck checked, and Bonding continued for 185,000. Johnson got out, but Van Strydonck called. Both of the remaining players then checked the {7-Clubs} turn.

The river brought the {A-Clubs} and a check from Van Strydonck. Bonding fired 580,000, and Van Strydonck called. Bonding showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for top two pair, and Van Strydonck mucked.

Bonding has about 5 million now, while Van Strydonck slips to 2.8 million.

Giannetti Gains Through Brokos

Livello 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

It folded around to Andrew Brokos on the button who raised to 130,000, and he got one caller in Matt Giannetti in the big blind.

The flop came {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Giannetti checked, Brokos bet 150,000, Giannetti check-raised to 430,000, and Brokos called. The turn was the {5-Spades} and once again Giannetti checked. Brokos bet again, too, 400,000 this time, and Giannetti called.

The river brought the {4-Diamonds} and checks from both. Giannetti tabled {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for jacks, and Brokos mucked.

Brokos slips to 1.665 million, while Giannetti moves back up to 5.33 million.

Brokos Makes it Five Out of Six in the WSOP Main Event

Andrew Brokos
Andrew Brokos

Action folded to Andrey Pateychuk in middle position and he raised to 140,000. Andrew Brokos was in late position and responded with a three-bet to 340,000. The rest of the players got out of the way and action was back on Pateychuk, who simply moved all in. Brokos called off for 1.64 million and it was off to the races.

Showdown
Brokos: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Pateychuk: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Brokos, who has cashed in five out of the last six WSOP Main Events, was the one at risk and needed to catch. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't do so as the board ran out {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs}, While he was eliminated from the tournament in 53rd place, Brokos' impressive achievement cannot be overlooked.

Stefan Huber eliminated.

Tri Huynh opened for 140,000 in the cutoff and Stefan Huber moved all in from the button for 1.13 million. Nelson Robinson, big blind, asked for Huynh's count -- around six million -- and called Huber's all in. Huynh folded and the hands were turned up.

Huber: {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}
Robinson: {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds}

The board ran {2-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {3-Spades} {9-Clubs} {A-Hearts} and Huber tapped the table and wished all players at the table good luck.

Aces vs. Kings

Livello 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Ben Lamb opened to 135,000 from early position, Guillaume Darcourt three-bet to 285,000 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Lamb who immediately called. The flop came down {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, and Lamb checked to Darcourt who continued for 300,000. Lamb called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}, and Lamb knuckled again. Darcourt tossed out 425,000, and Lamb called.

Lamb checked a third time after the {9-Hearts} paired the board on the river, and this time Darcourt decided to check behind. Lamb opened up two kings, but Darcourt rolled over {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for a pair of aces! The entire table was wide-eyed at the sight of the two players' hands, and Darcourt and Lamb shared a laugh while the Frenchman pulled in the pot.

Holden Eliminates Howe

Jody Howe - 52nd place
Jody Howe - 52nd place

A short-stacked Jody Howe shoved all in for his last 850,000 from UTG+1, and Samuel Holden was his lone caller from middle position. Howe showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and was hoping his pair would hold versus Holden's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

Howe's sixes remained best through the {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and {9-Diamonds} turn, but the {A-Diamonds} fell on the river, pairing Holden and sending Howe to the rail in 52nd place.

Holden now has 2.85 million.

River Saves Moutinho

Livello 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

First to act from under the gun, Tri Huynh raised to 150,000 and it folded to Erika Moutinho on the button who made it 350,000 to go. The blinds stepped aside, and Huynh responded with a reraise to 2.15 million -- almost all of what Moutinho had left. She reraised her entire stack of 2.23 million, and Huynh called.

Huynh: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Moutinho: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}, providing Moutinho some outs for a straight to go along with her overcards. But the turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and the lone woman left in the field was down to her final card.

The dealer burned one and turned over the river -- the {A-Hearts}! Moutinho survived, and now has 4.62 million. Huynh, meanwhile, slips to 3.89 million.

Sands Shoves

Hilton Laborda raised to 140,000 to open the pot, and David Sands three-bet to 275,000 in position. Laborda called, and he checked to the raiser on the {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {4-Spades} flop. Sands continued out with another 235,000 before Laborda check-raised to 650,000, and Sands responded with an all-in shove for 1.72 million. It sent Laborda deep into the tank, but he eventually released and let Sands take it down.

Laborda has had a sluggish start to his day, down more than 1.5 million from his starting count.
