Good News for Badih

Livello 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Bounahra Badih opened for 230,000 from the cutoff seat, and it folded to Khoa Nguyen in the big blind who promptly reraised enough to put Badih all in. Badih gathered his remaining chips -- about 875,000 more -- and considered his situation.

"I guess I'm going to be all in with my favorite hand," he said, then with a little extra drama, added, "I'm... a-a-a-a-a-llll... i-i-i-i-inn."

Badih turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and Nguyen {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Badih walked several feet away from the table and stood with his back turned as the dealer delivered the community cards. The flop was {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and Ruben Visser called out to Badih that he was still good. The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Visser again relayed the news.

The river was the {9-Clubs}. "Unlucky," said Visser, and the table burst into laughter. Badih ran over and saw Visser was joking, and he chuckled as well.

Badih doubles to about 2.2 million, while Nguyen now has 5.1 million.

Moore Wins Some More

With about 500,000 in the pot and a board reading {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Christopher Moore checked and allowed his opponent, Matt Giannetti, to bet 265,000. Moore made the call and both player proceeded to check the {Q-Spades} turn.

When the {A-Hearts} appeared on the turn, Moore took the opportunity to bet 450,000, which prompted Giannetti to fold.

Kyle's Quad Kings KO Feming

Livello 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Feming Chan - 49th place
Feming Chan - 49th place

Aleksandr Mozhnyakov raised to 175,000 from late position, then Feming Chan reraised all in for 1.445 million from the cutoff seat. It folded to Kyle Johnson in the small blind who took some time, then flat-called the big reraise. Mozhnyakov got out. Cards on their backs...

Johnson: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Chan: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The flop couldn't be worse for Chan, coming {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to give Johnson unbeatable quads and thus making trivia of the {6-Hearts} turn and {8-Clubs} river. Chan is out in 49th place, while Johnson moves to 8.3 million.

Odea Odoubles

Eoghan Odea more than doubled to over 4 million chips
Eoghan Odea more than doubled to over 4 million chips

Guillaume Darcourt opened to 180,000 from the hijack seat, Nicolas Fierro called in the cutoff, and Eoghan Odea moved all in for about 1.8 million on the button. Sam Barnhart released his small blind, and Ahtoh Makiievskyi asked for a count from the big. After receiving one, Makiievskyi called. Darcourt and Fierro quickly released, and the hands were opened.

Makiievskyi: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Odea: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Odea was well ahead, but the {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop gave Makiievskyi eight extra outs to a flush. The turn and river bricked {6-Spades}, {8-Diamonds} though, and Odea more than doubled to 4.1 million chips.

Not Tuvey Continued

Stuart Tuvey is Eliminated.
Stuart Tuvey is Eliminated.

Stuart Tuvey raised to 180,000 under the gun and action folded to Lars Bonding in the hijack. He thought in silence for a moment before putting in a three-bet to 420,000. The rest of the field got out of the way and Tuvey pushed all in, which Bonding snap-called.

Showdown
Bonding: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Tuvey: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Bonding was out in front with his big pocket pair and was looking to dodge an ace. The {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop was safe for Bonding, but the {Q-Diamonds} turn added a gut-shot straight draw to Tuvey's short-list of outs. The dealer burned and slowly revealed the {K-Spades} on the river, putting an end to Tuvey's tournament in 48th place ($160,036).

Laborda Makes an Impression

Livello 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Hilton Laborda
Hilton Laborda

Ryan Lenaghan raised to 175,000 to open the action from early position, and he found action from both Stephane Albertini and Hilton Laborda to go three-handed to the flop. It came {A-Clubs} {7-Spades} {5-Spades}, and Lenaghan continued out with 290,000. That folded Albertini, but Laborda called to see another card, heads-up now.

It was the {4-Hearts} that dropped on fourth street, and Lenaghan loaded up with another 625,000 chips and fired them into the pot. Laborda liked his hand enough to raise to 1.575 million, and Lenaghan's quick fold earned the Brazilian the pot.

Brecher Doubles Through Mozhnyakov

Livello 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Steve Brecher
Steve Brecher

Steve Brecher raised from under the gun for 175,000, and Aleksandr Mozhnyakov was his lone caller from middle position. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Brecher led with a bet of 250,000, Mozhnyakov raised all in, and Brecher instantly called with his remaining chips.

Mozhnyakov had {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, but the flop had hit Brecher hard as he held {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and river {A-Clubs}, meaning Brecher ended with a winning full house.

Brecher bumps up to 3.88 million on that one, while Mozhnyakov falls to about 5.5 million.

Lucky Sevens for Lindgren

Action folded to Erick Lindgren in the hijack and he put in a raise to 180,000, which was immediately three-bet to 405,000 by Kyle Johnson in the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way, and Lindgren moved all in for 855,000 more. Johnson called and the cards were turned up:

Showdown
Johnson: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Lindgren: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

It was a flip for Lindgren's Main Event life, one that came up in his favor as the board ran out {3-Spades}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Lindgren's sevens held and he doubled to 2.72 million.

Devonshire on a Roll

Livello 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Sam Barnhart opened to 180,000 from late position, and Bryan Devonshire called on the button. The dealer fanned {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}, and Barnhart continued for 200,000. Devonshire raised to 420,000, and Barnhart called.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, both players checked, and the {j-Clubs} completed the board. Barnhart checked again, and Devonshire slid out 865,000, Barnhart quickly folded, and Devonshire took down another pot.
