Short Break, Bad Cards

Livello 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The Tournament Director has just called for an unscheduled break.

The main reason the break was called was because Jon Turner spotted a mark card. On closer inspection of the decks in use, along with some of the spares, it was noticed that there was a printing error on every {4-Spades} along with some other low spades in the deck.

Decks for use are currently being checked and re-checked to assure that there is no disadvantage to any player.

Jon "PearlJammer" Turner opened for 90,000 on the button and Hunter Frey reraised to 190,000 from the small blind. Turner raised enough to put Frey all in and Frey made the call, which got a wince out of Turner.

Turner: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Frey: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

Turner came out ahead, however, as the board ran out {3-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, ending Frey's run.

The online prodigy known as "PearlJammer" is back up to three million.

Sean Getzwiller open-shoved the hi-jack for 715,000 and Sadan Turker iso-shoved from the button for over 3,000,000 as the blinds folded.

Getzwiller: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Turker: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop saw Getzwiller take the lead, and when the {A-Clubs} and {7-Hearts} completed the board, Getzwiller doubled to 1,500,000 as Turker slipped to just under 3,500,000 in chips.

Queen-High for Getzwiller

Livello 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

From the cutoff Sean Getzwiller pushed the cutoff for his last 625,000.

Jon Turner contemplated a decision in the big blind for a few moments before eventually relinquishing his hand.

Getzwiller flashed his {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and happily scooped the pot.

Turker Continues to Chip Up

Livello 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Sadan Turker opened to 95,000 from the hijack and found one caller in Jon "PearlJammer" Turner.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Spades} and Turker c-bet to 140,000. Turner called.

A {10-Hearts} fell on the turn and Turker kept on the pressure, betting 300,000. Turner again called.

Both players checked down when the {9-Spades} landed on the river. Turker revealed the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a flopped pair aces and Turner mucked.

Turker currently sits with 4.3 million while Turner's stack has dwindled down to 2,150,000.

Daniel Haglund Eliminated in 8th Place ($64,186)

Max Weinberg opened the hijack to 95,000 only to have Daniel Haglund three-bet shove for an additional 290,000. Weinberg paused momentarily before making the call.

Weinberg: {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Haglund: {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}

With Haglund in the lead, but most likely seeing a chop occur, the {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop furthered the chop possibilities.

However when the {K-Hearts} landed on the turn, a few ohhs and ahhs were let out by the few railbirds in the audience as now Haglund would have to fade any heart or four to stay alive.

Unfortunately for the youngster, the {4-Spades} would smack on the river to send him crushing to the rail in eighth place, and as Weinberg moved to 2,400,000 in chips.

Getzwiller Folds, Haglund Wakes Up with Kings

Livello 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

With the action folded to Sean Getzwiller on the button, he deliberated before eventually kicking his cards to the muck while letting out a slight sigh.

With Daniel Haglund in the big blind receiving a walk, he flashed his {K-Clubs}{K-Spades} as Getzwiller gave himself a pat on the back for opting not to shove into Haglund's pocket kings.
