Play Like a Champion Today in Day 1c of Event #18: $300 Gladiators of Poker

2023 WSOP Gold Bracelet
2023 WSOP Gold Bracelet

So far, Event #18: $300 Gladiators of Poker at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas has been a massive success. Could it be the largest field in WSOP history? Only time will tell.

Day 1a saw 3,940 runners take their shot at the massive $3,000,000 prize pool, while Day 1b had even more participants at 4,571. Today will likely see even more runners, and if the turnout of the Saturday flight from the Mystery Millions is any indication, we will see one of the largest single flights of any tournament in history on Day 1d this Saturday. All of this will hopefully culminate in the largest $300 buy-in event ever.

The current chip leader is Patrick White from Day 1a with a staggering 3,450,000 chips but the door is wide open for any player to walk into Day 2 with more than White. Players who do bag a Day 1 flight will return on Sunday, June 11 for their chance at glory and to be named the first-ever Gladiators of Poker champion.

Cards will be in the air at 10 a.m. local time, and players begin Day 1c with 30,000 chips. Levels for all opening flights are 30 minutes, with a 20-minute break at the conclusion of every four levels. A 75-minute dinner break is also on the schedule after Level 15 and is expected to be around 6:30 p.m.

The day consists of 22 levels of play, or until 15% of the field remains, whichever is later, (payouts will start on Day 1), and late registration closes after Level 11 (around 4:30 p.m.). As mentioned above, there will be one more starting flight tomorrow, Saturday, June 10 at 10 a.m.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for live updates straight from the tournament floor of Event #18: $300 Gladiators of Poker.

Tetreault Makes Big Fold Against Ferrante

Livello 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Damon Ferrante
Damon Ferrante

The players relayed the story about a hand that occurred a few hands ago where a middle position player raised, Greg Tetreault called preflop, and Damon Ferrante in the big blind reraised to 3,000. Everyone called to see the flop of Kx10x3x.

Ferrante took the betting lead and on the turn of 8x and the other two players called.

On the river 3x, the middle position checked, Tetreault bet 1,000, and Ferrante raised to 3,000. The middle position thought for a bit and folded and Tetreault had a gut feeling and took a while to make a decision and folded as well.

Ferrante showed KxKx for top full house, the middle position showed he had a flush, and Tetreault showed 10x10x for the lower full house.
