Kevin Madar
Kevin Madar

Kevin Madar was among the tournament short stacks when he moved all in against Andres Korn, who called after raising before the flop

The dealer had already pulled in the cards on the board and mucked Madar’s hand by the time PokerNews arrived at the table, but Korn’s 55 remained on the board.

Madar went out in 21st Place for $14,330.

Marton Czuczor
Marton Czuczor

Marton Czuczor called a raise to 100,000 and then saw Girish Reknar three-bet to 400,000, forcing out the initial raiser. Czuczor responded with a shove and that sent Reknar into the tank for more than three minutes. Ultimately, he called and they were off to the races.

Marton Czuczor: JJ
Girish Reknar: AK

The A8488 board improved Reknar to the superior full house and both stacks were counted twice. They both had exactly 1,760,000 at their disposal, which ended the run of Czuczor in 22nd place.

Livello 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Justin Bonomo had previously doubled his short stack of 250,000 in a preflop contest with AK against the A5 of Mike Sowers, when the 1063J2 board missed both players.

Soon after, Bonomo was flipping for his tournament life against Adrian Mateos.

Justin Bonomo: QJ
Adrian Mateos: 1010

The 1052 flop left Bonomo with a mountain to climb but he picked up some equity with the 9 turn. However, the 2 river only improved Mateos to a full house.

Jason Acosta raised to 110,000 and Valentino Konakchiev called in the cutoff. Ankit Ahuja then jammed on the button to apply maximum pressure on the shorter stacks behind. It folded back to Acosta and he called it off for around 1,000,000 while Konakchiev folded.

Jason Acosta: 99
Ankit Ahuja: AQ

The flip went to Ahuja this time thanks to a board of 104352 as he hit the straight and flush on the river, eliminating Acosta in 25th place for $14,330.

John Reading Eliminated in 26th Place ($14,330)

Livello 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
John Reading
John Reading

John Reading had an uphill battle when the field redrew for the final three tables. He had less than 200,000, with blinds at 25,000-50,000 and a 50,000.

He picked a spot to dig in his heels after Jason Acosta raised 125,000 in early position, prompting Reading to go all in with 185,000. The action folded to Ankit Ahuja, who called in the big blind, and Acosta followed suit.

The dealer fanned 4J8, which Acosta and Ahuja checked. The river brought 2, which Acosta checked but Ahuja bet. Acosta folded and the cards were tabled.

Ahuja: Jx10x
Reading: A9

The river was a blank, which sent Reading to the rail.

Song Felted by Farrell

Livello 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Niall Farrell had chipped up previously and then faced the open jam by Stephen Song in the small blind. "I am pretty sure I gonna call, not sure I can fold this ..." Farrell mentioned in table chat and asked for a count. The all-in was for 720,000 and Farrell eventually called.

Stephen Song: AJ
Niall Farrell: K9

The KK10105 board gave Farrell a full house and he claimed the entire stack of Song, declaring himself a luckbox of sorts.

There will now be a very short break for the final 27 players as they move to their new seat assignments for the redraw of the last three tables.

D'Ursel Bad Beats Reard for a Double

Livello 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Igor D'Ursel
Igor D'Ursel

Dinesh Alt lost the penultimate hand of the level against Jared Jaffee when the 88 of the latter was good for a medium-sized pot with two streets of action on a 5539Q board. In the last hand before the dinner break, Alt then opened to 60,000 and Alexandre Reard in cutoff three-bet to 180,000.

Igor D'Ursel four-bet jammed for 415,000 on the button and Alt folded, while Reard snap-called.

Igor D'Ursel: JJ
Alexandre Reard: KK

The dominated pair flopped a set on QJ10 while Reard had an open-ended straight draw. Nothing changed on the 6 turn and 6 river as D'Ursel improved to a full house, cutting a dent into Reard's stack.

Right after that, the 31 remaining players went on a scheduled 60-minute dinner break. Action will resume at approximately 7.32 p.m. local time.

The 7 turn instantly left Geilich drawing dead to make the 10 river a formality. Both stacks were counted and the 530,000 of Geilich were covered to send the Scotsman to the payout desk.
