A total of 144 players are set to return for Day 2 of Event #19: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
The bubble burst Wednesday night in Level 17, and 172 players made the money out of 1,139 entrants. For the 144 making it to Day 2, the goal now is to get to Day 3 for the chance to win a coveted WSOP bracelet.
Dinesh Alt raced out to a Day 1 lead with 1,212,000 by the time the players bagged in the early morning hours. Alt is the only player to top the million-chip count, and the next closest player is Byung Eun Shin, whose 797,000 leads a group of six entrants with 700,000 or more in play. Among the six are WSOP bracelet winners Jared Jaffee (780,000), Adrian Mateos (758,000) and Mark Seif (713,000)

Michael Shelton was all-in with the 10♣10♥ and looked up by fellow namesake Michael Mcnicholas, who tabled the inferior 6♦6♣. The board came Q♦9♣8♥4♥3♦ and that left Mcnicholas on fumes.

Justin Bonomo three-bet jammed for 119,000 out of the small blind and was quickly called by the initial raiser Kenny Deffrasnes in the cutoff, who flipped over pocket jacks. The Q♠J♠ of Bonomo had one overcard, which appeared on the Q♦10♥8♥7♣3♣ runout.

Maurice Hawkins raised the action as Day 2 started before the flop to 21,000 and was called by the player to his immediate left.
Euan McNicholas, who started the day with 129,000, had other ideas on how the hand would go and moved all in with his remaining chips in late position. After action folded back to Hawkins, he then moved all in, prompting the player to his left to fold.
Hawkins: 8♣8♥
McNicholas: K♣K♦
“I’m lucky,” Hawkins joked when the cards were tabled.
The dealer, though, fanned out 10♠Q♣A♠[7♦9♠, giving the win to McNicholas, who doubled up with a chunk of Hawkins’ stack and the blinds.

The kicker played on the 9♣9♠7♥4♥3♠ and Cohen doubled for 215,000.

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya departed from table 641 and he was then followed by Jesse Lonis. Having lost a big pot just prior, he moved all-in with a short stack and was looked up by Ludovic Geilich from two seats over.
Jesse Lonis: A♣J♦
Ludovic Geilich: A♥5♥
The 10♣7♥4♥ flop spelled trouble for Lonis and the 3♥ turn left him drawing dead, which made the river a formality.
