Day 2 of Event #28: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout has concluded at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. A total of 2,046 players entered the event on Day 1, generating a prize pool of $2,731,410. The field started the second day with 188 players and ended the night with 17. This year’s winner can look forward to a $406,403 purse and, of course, a WSOP gold bracelet to go with it.

At the end of the day, Matthew Hunt sat atop the leaderboard with an impressive 9,380,000 chip stack. This would be the poker coach’s first bracelet win.

One of the turn around hands was an ill-timed bluff by Chino Rheem that had all of the chips in on the turn with Rheem drawing dead.

Other players who ended the day with high chip counts and will be vying for a piece of Hunt’s chip stack were Benjamin Ector (5,690,000), Jean Lhuillier (5,165,000), and Dean Hutchison (4,000,000).
