Allen Shoves on Dobbs

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

When the action got around to him preflop, Scott Dobbs made it 360,000 to go from the small blind and found one call from Zachary Allen in early position.

The two went to a flop of J42 and Dobbs continued for 450,000 but then Allen announced he was all-in for 1,545,000 and Dobbs went into the tank.

After a good minute or so of debating his two options, Dobbs decided to let it go and the pot was awarded to Allen.

Distenfeld Secures Back-to-Back Hands with Aggression

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

WSOP bracelet winner Gershon Distenfeld is usually in a giving mood away from the poker table. He’s known to donate his winnings to charities, after all.

But on two straight hands in Level 24, Distenfeld showed his ability to take on the poker table.

On the first hand, Distenfeld raised 115,000 in middle position and the player to his immediate left called.

The dealer fanned QA7 on the flop. Distenfeld led out with 175,000, and his opponent quickly mucked his cards.

The next sequence saw Distenfeld once again raise to 115,000. This time, though, Distenfeld got no action as the table folded to his aggression. But he did secure the blinds and antes for a profit.

Wong's Double Leaves Cada Short

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

All the chips went into the middle preflop, with Chunlung Wong at risk for 1,780,000 in the big blind. Joe Cada in the hijack covered Wong.

Chunlung Wong: 1010
Joe Cada: AK

There was no help on the board of 8839J for the 2009 Main Event champion as Wong's pocket tens held. Cada was left with less than ten big blinds.

Adcock Shows Big Hand

Livello 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of 6J4, there was already 750,000 in the middle when Joshua Adcock led out for 450,000 and Ashton Nikzad made the call.

The turn came out the 2 and Adcock snap shoved all in for over 3,500,000, covering Nikzad who went into the tank.

After a long, agonizing minute, Nikzad painfully folded his hand and was then shown QQ by Adcock, which appeared to give Nikzad some relief as he tapped the table.

With this win, Adcock now has over 5,000,000 in chips and is one of the largest stacks in the room.

Big Preflop Betting War Between Premium Hands

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Casey Stewart raised 125,000 under the gun, and it escalated quickly.

A player at the cutoff flatted, and then Jared Jaffee three-bet on the button to 430,000. That wasn’t enough, though, as Thiago Franco, who was in the small blind, took one look at his cards and four-bet all in.

Stewart, who started it all and barely had Franco covered, then five-bet all in. The player who flatted Stewart’s original raise immediately folded, and then Jaffee got out of the way. The cards were then tabled.

Thiago Franco: KK
Casey Stewart: AK

The dealer fanned J105 on the flop, keeping Thiago ahead but opening a gutshot straight possibility for Stewart. The 6 appeared on the turn and the 3 on the river cemented Franco’s winning hand, and the dealer pushed a massive pot his way.

Meanwhile, Stewart’s stack was decimated. He was left with 185,000 behind, and was sent to the rail on the very next hand in the big blind.

Rosique Triples - Distenfield Takes Huge Sidepot

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Gershon Distenfeld
Gershon Distenfeld

Bertrand Rosique moved all in from under the gun for 820,000. Gershon Distenfeld announced all-in from early position and had enough to cover everyone at the table. Max Neugebauer on Distenfeld's immediate left also moved all in for 2,650,000.

Bertrand Rosique: A3
Max Neugebauer: QQ
Gershon Distenfeld: AA

Distenfeld was in good shape to knock two players out after the paired flop of J55. However, Rosique went runner-runner after the 2K completed the board to give them a flush. Rosique took the main pot of 2,600,000 while Distenfeld had to settle for the 3,600,000 side pot.

Monster Stack = Monster Flips

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After a preflop betting war, two big stacks Stacen Jones and Jimmy Setna got all of their chips into the middle, around 2,000,000 each, with Jones at risk.

Stacen Jones: 33
Jimmy Setna: AK

The odds were very close in this pure flip, but the board of 46222 ran out in Jones' favor to give him the smallest full house possible and he scored a huge double-up from Setna, whose jaw was still on the floor.
