Kulev Spikes Three-Outer to Double

Artur Martirosian opened to 2,000,000 first to act before Alex Kulev made it 7,000,000 from the button. Martirosian moved all in as the bigger stack and Kulev called off the 1,300,000 he had behind.

Brewer Continues to Slowly Chip-Up; Kabrhel Reaches 50-Million Chip Mark

Chris Brewer raised to 7,000,000 with K♣Q♣ on the button and both blinds folded. \

A hand or so later Martin Kabrhel raised to 1,600,000 on the button with 10♠8♦ and Alex Kulev defended his big blind with 7♥5♥.

Things began to heat up on the 9♠9♥6♦ flop, when Kulev put in a check-raise for 2,100,000 against the flop continuation bet of 900,000 from Kabrhel.

Kulev wold slow down on the K♠ turn and Kabrhel applied the pressure in the form of a 2,800,000 bet

Chance Kornuth, with 3,500,000 behind, raised to 2,800,000 from the button. He then called off the remainder of his stack after Alex Kulev moved all in from the big blind.

The start of day chip leader was the underdog and had one foot out of the door following the Q♣8♣3♠ flop.

The 5♠ turn gave Kornuth the best hand and had him as the favorite for the double-up. However, Kulev paired up on the 10♦ river to lock up the hand and seal the bust-out.

Brewer Gets Another Two Through

Artur Martirosian raised to 1,600,000 with J♥10♥ from under the gun before Chris Brewer committed most of his stack, making it 5,500,000 from the small blind with A♣9♣. Martirosian folded.

The next hand, Chris Brewer made it 7,000,000 from the button with K♠10♠ and the blinds got out of the way.

Martirosian Doubles Through Kulev

Alex Kulev raised to 1,600,000 from early position with 6♥6♦ and Artur Martirosian called from the big blind with A♣J♠.

Martirosian check-folded to a 1,100,000 bet of Kulev on a flop of 7♦Q♣2♦.

A couple of hands later, Kulev would be involved in another pot with Martirosian. This time it was the biggest pot of the day so far and for Martirosian's tournament life.

Martirosian moved all in on the button for 19,000,000 and Kulev reshoved all in from the small blind.

Kulev had the lead going into the flop with Martirosian needing to improve, which he did on the A♦2♥K♠ flop.

Smith went in with the best hand and the covering suit, but the 8♣4♣6♥ flop would deliver Kabrhel the lead.

Smith would be unable to catch back up on the 8♥ turn and the K♠ river, sending him to the payout desk, but not before expressing his displeasure with the polarizing antics of Kabrhel.

"Good luck, most of you. I hope you get barred," said Smith while gesturing to Kabrhel.

"What does it mean?" replied Kabrhel.

"Banned," clarified Smith.

"Why?" asked Kabrhel.

"Your antics are the worst of anybody I've ever met. Everyone else is a great player."

"Somebody must be worse," noted Kabrhel, which marked the end of the conversation.

Brewer Slows Down; Kabrhel Takes the Chip Lead

Chris Brewer used up several time banks before folding his Q♥8♠ from the cutoff. This meant that short stack Dan Smith would have to pay more in the big blind as the level was going up the following hand.

Martin Kabrhel then raised to 1,200,000 from the button with 6♦5♦. Artur Martirosian called from the big blind with 3♠3♦.

On the 9♦4♦2♥ flop, action checked through to the 4♣ turn, which kept Martiroisian out in front. He then led out for 1,500,000 and Kabrhel called.

The 6♥ river gave Kabrhel the best hand. Kabrhel called for 1,500,000 and put a dent in Martirosian's stack.

Brewer Holds to Double

Brewer put in the last of chips on the Q♠J♠7♦ flop and Martirosian called.

Brewer was ahead thanks to his ace kicker and he raked in the double-up following the 4♥ turn and 2♠ river.
