Henson took four on the first draw while Mermelstein opted for two.

The second draw saw Henson take one to Mermelstein's two after which Henson took one more on the final draw. Mermelstein stood pat and turned over Jx5x4x3x2x with Henson tabling 6x4x3x2x. Henson was drawing live but "improved" to a straight after turning over 5x to send him out in 9th place.

The same drawing pattern was repeated on the final draw. Action then went check-check with Pupillo tabling J32A, a hand that Moriarty could not beat. Mermelstein, meanwhile, held 10732, bringing his tournament to an end in 3rd place and setting the stage for a heads-up match between Moriarty and Pupillo.
